So cute Lori .! I made these with my daughters for fall but we never thought of unraveling the mops. Love that. We also used a plastic grape for the nose. ❤️
Think I will make one for a door stop and one to put on my nightstand to wear my eyeglasses as I sleep at night 🌙

WIRE-RIMMED GLASSES WOULD BE COOL ON THE GNOMES TOO. JUST A BIT OF SHAPED WIRE THAT DISAPPEARS UP UNDER THE HAT.

I am so glad I found your channel I think you are great what a wonderful personality you have. So far I have loved everything you make you are very talented lady. I know you are a Knitter here is a project you might be interested in. You can find it on Facebook it's called The Tempest Tree project. They have kits with the most wonderful yarn I've ever worked with. You can either knit or crochet it shows the temperature differences over the years they offer kits for different years .You can even get one for the year of your birth that's what I'm working on now. I LOVE the mop idea and the curly hair. Makes them look really great. Was thinking for a female gnome you could make braids with the mop hair. Thanks I’ll give this one a try. Great job.

I have seen the 'girl' gnomes at Christmas Tree Shop. They have the hair pulled to the two sides like pony tails but are nowhere near as cute as the male ones!
If you use a white sock or cream just make the nose out of the sock itself. Gather the fabric and tie with clear rubber band. The use blush to give the nose some color. So much easier

I like your rendition of a gnome I like how you keep the bag ! That way no bugs will be able to get into the rice or lentils.
I read somewhere that if you put them in the freezer for awhile before using them, that it kills any eggs that might be in the rice.

Last year I saw this video. I bought all the stuff, but with making Christmas cards and whatnot, it all ended up in a drawer in my art room. For the life of me I couldn't remember what on earth I bought a mop and black socks for 🙄 glad I found you again! 💚

When I need to tie something very tightly iI use unwaxed dental floss since it's pretty much unbreakable.

WOW! What an awesome idea just putting the whole bag of rice into the sock!!! I've done it the other way and it is MESSSSSYYYYY!!! Good thinking!! :) I've seen SO many tutorials on gnomes and this is the first time I've seen that! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS - that will keep those little mice from eating through the sock to get to the rice as well if it's in the bag! I opened my Christmas stuff this weekend and a mouse ate the rice right out of his bum!!! GOODNESSS!!!!

this is SUCH a cute video. I am going to try these gnomes as you make it look so easy! I have tried some other Christmas projects and was a complete fail. My husband just said "HUH" when I showed him. (I am a brand new crafter at 63 yrs!) So...here goes! If It turns out I'll let you know. :) Will check out more of your videos!

Hi Lori! I'm new to both your page and crafting, and came across this video yesterday (SO stinkin cute!!) Long story short, went out yesterday to get my materials, and I too have one that is SO stinkin cute!! lol p.s. I used the small black hair rubber bands to tie the black sock off, worked great! I got a glue gun that looks and holds like a pen, it is so perfect for the uncoordinated or those like me with Rheumatoid arthritis
If you just type literally glue gun that looks like a pen and it will be in with the others and it was less than 20.00 on Amazon.
