    Your video editing skills are very good, definitely on par with the highest car reviewers I've seen. That said, the times you are on camera are a bit shaky as the camera man holds it. I think just mounting it will make a world of difference. Good stuff, man! Hope to see more vids in the future! You definitely deserve more subscribers.

    I feel like this could be a great review channel. Try to resist over editing, the constant focus racking and fast cuts make it sometimes dizzying. Keep up the good work!

      @@Adam_G I just wanted your opinion on something I'm thinking about buying an Audi A3 2.0 diesel Sportback 140bhp, it has 200,000 on the clock it had the timing belt done 20k ago and at some point had a reconditioned gearbox done, the car is red and and has some lacquer peel at the front, inside is in really good condition and seems to drive ok, I can pick this up for £650 what are your thoughts?

    My A3 is a 2007 high spec TDI with the DSG which is fantastic to drive. By far the best car I've driven, mind you I haven't driven any other purpose built 'sports cars' before, the closest comparison would be a Kia Cerrato or Golf Cabrio (both 2.0L 4I).

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      jbones360 Nice, I sometimes with mine had DSG. Although yes, for its class it is by far the best car I have owned/driven myself

    Amazing channel, I just subscribed!
    But, one criticism, maybe get a tripod or some other stable object to hold the camera so the video isn't shaking so much.

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the suggestion! Yeah, after rewatching this vid a few times I realised how shaky it was, will definitely get a proper tripod sorted for my next one! :)

    • @Prectriv
      @Prectriv 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, try to do more cinematic things such as you did at around 3:58 when the camera looses focus. Its the small stuff that counts on youtube, as well as the video its self.

    I'm thinking of buying a 2006 Audi A3 with 140k miles for $3000 from a coworker. He's installing a new radiator and also the front bumper is damaged. He says he'll buy and install a new bumper for an extra $500. So $3500 total. Also, I said I wasn't too sure about buying and he threw in a 2,000 mile warranty. If I don't buy this vehicle then I'm going to spend 5-6k on a 2012-2013 kia soul. Any advice? This will also be my first car. I'm not looking to do any long trips or anything else crazy. Just want something to get around town. Mainly work, gym, and grocery store. edit: I'm in North America(if that makes any difference).

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      $3500 seems a good price, having in mind A3s tend to be a little more expensive in North America than Europe. What's the trim level like? What engine/transmission does it have? Audi A3 definitely isn't a sports car but in my opinion it looks cooler than a Kia Soul but again, that's subjective. They tend to be good runabout cars, I'd say go for it (and of course check that it has been properly maintained and looked after).

    I have the 170bhp tdi..07reg..
    Love it..so powerful and economical..600 miles on 55 litre tank no problem on the motorway with 4 adults..in comfort..
    I change down from 17's to 16's alloys and there is no road noise on decent motorway at 80mph..
    On the 17's i have to say the exits from roundabouts were proper rapid😂😂
    Love it best car i have ever owned

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also changed from 18s you see in the video down to 16" as I do a lot of driving on motorway- it's quieter and much easier on suspension. Is 170 much quicker than 140 I wonder?

    • @pk-zx2vb
      @pk-zx2vb 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adam G 170 has biger turbo...so thats why it's 30 bhp extra..smaller turbo has little bit smaller turbo lag BUT when my car kicks in its proper quick👍
      Its like 1.5s quicker 0-60!!
      3rd and 4th gear is proper quick on country lanes..
      Plus the best is you can get up to 220bhp and 350nm with this turbo!!😈😈😈
      Stage 3 chip tunning cca 300£

    Great job dude! I’m on my way to buy my first A3, i can afford ‘10-‘12 170 cp quattro. Should i go for 1.8 tfsi or 2.0 tdi. Can you rate the reliability 1-10? Any advice? Cheers

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice! 2.0TDi 170 is quick enough and economical, but well, it's a diesel. The engine itself, I'd give 9.5/10- no bad problems over 2 years of ownership so far, only a dirty EGR and a bad mass air flow sensor- nothing major having in mind it has now 216k miles and is nearly 13 years old. 1.8TFSi has huge tuning potential for 250hp+ easy and sounds mad with a good exhaust, realiability-wise it is a good, time-proven engine, coming all the way from the 90s with TT and A4 B5. It's all about the running cost vs. fun factor 😉 good luck with the future purchase

      @mihaiepr 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adam G 😎. Another thing. I’ve tried to get a real world fuel consumption for 1.8 tfsi and nothing. In the same time I’ve read about a very big thirsty for oil which scare me. Anyway you have a real review of your car, clear and compact!

    Great video and it helps a lot! I want to buy the same car but 1.6 for economy. What do you thing in the best model in 05’-07’?

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      05-07 had only the petrol 1.6, in my opinion not great on power or the economy (usually their trim levels are poor too), you’re better off with a 1.9TDi for economy or go for the newer 08- onwards 1.6TDi. Good luck!

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      650 is dirt cheap for such a car. For a 2.0 TDi be sure to run a diagnostics scan and check for any faults with egr, turbo and injectors. A rebuilt gearbox is a big plus, and regarding the lacquer, its a common problem on red cars, unfortunately. Used A3 bumpers can be picked up for a cheap price at a local breakyard, though. Best of luck!

    Looking At a 2006 a3 2.0 for about 2800 with about 157,000 with leather and sunroof.Says it was owned by a mechanic. Think it’s a good deal?

    • @Adam_G

      Sounds like a right price for spec and mileage. With these numbers you should expect very good bodywork

    I’m expected to buy one in a few weeks In automatic but I’ve been told not to get it cuz apparently the auto gear box ain’t reliable someone help me please ?

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Provided the gear oil has been changed at correct intervals, DSG is a good gearbox. It's all about how much you look after it. Also, petrol versions should have fewer problems due to less torque input, as opposed to diesel engines. Hope this helps

    Just bought an 06 a3 but passenger side wing mirror isn’t moving when trying to position it does anyone know how to fix it?

    • @Adam_G
      @Adam_G  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the driver side moves, most likely a wiring issue. Check the rubber boot along the passenger door for broken wires, also make sure to check the connectors for each terminal

    • @Adam_G

      AC most likely needs a re-gas, but for a 2.0T it's a reasonable price. Does it come with leather seats or any other nice stuff?
