I have one if these that I got a couple years ago and it is my absolute favorite die cutter. I literally have at least 7 different machines and this is the one i use the most. I love the ability to change the tension and don't have to buy all kinds of cutting plates and it folds small for storage! I really like the color too. The only issue I have is that my tension knob got lost. I contacted you guys and received a new one at no charge right away. That was awesome. Well I didn't realize that the inside of the dial piece that the knob connects to was broken so my knob doesn't lock in. Sometimes it pops off. It still functions fine but I just have to make sure it doesn't pop off and get lost again. The only way I could see to improve it is to make a bigger one to accept larger dies or embossing folders, etc. Thanks for making this awesome machine!!!
I like this because of the dial you probably don't have to mess around with the different sandwiches the other machines need.
That's why I use this machine the most out of all the ones I have that are just collecting dust!
Question if your using the numbers on the side what is the reason for the others Ex...emboss, letterpress,die cut. or how to use those settings? TFS...

How do I purchase additional platforms, cutting and/or magnetic mats? When my machine was purchased it was missing some. I also need another B mat.

@@barbaramitchell5198 It is, but bear in mind, you have to keep your finger on the power button and the one I have is (even after 3 years) pretty stiff and my finger/thumb gets fatigued fairly quickly. But I might just have 'that' difficult one. I hope you bought the motor though.

I think this machine is sadly under noted!! Its a great machine that has great suction to the feet. You don't need multi plates AND you can use manually OR with the motor. I'm here to say the motor is great!!!! This is the best out there, don't think the Big Shot is the only one out there!!!

Lol; you save the day. I was about to return it because the handle was missing👀.
THE AH-LEE-SA WAY that was the reason I tool mine back but I later discovered that the handle was there. There is a department on the machine that opens up there handle is there I found out after taking mine back and re buying it.

I use this machine every day and LOVE it! Wouldn't trade it for the world. Love that you don't have to make "sandwiches"! Quick question, though......is there a list that tells which # setting to use for your projects rather than the left side of the dial where you have to kind of guess at the thickness of the paper you are using. Hope I made my question clear. Also, what causes the mat to warp and where can I get replacements.

I was hoping for a little more information on the custom settings side of the dial.....can you offer any help there? Sometimes the center of intricate thin cutting dies don't cut, how can I avoid this?

I read to put a thin piece of cardstock on the platform to avoid all the scratches. And to avoid warping just use the platform in from the bottom from time to time to keep it straight.
Heidi Johnson I just ordered this machine and I got a couple of hours ago and as I had some intricate diecuts I have tried it; you are absolutely right it does not cut through I am so disappointed!!!!
Question please, do you have a printout of the different pressure numbers for the different dies, materials, etc? Would make using machine a lot more easy. Thanks!

How do you know to set the setting to 12 for felt? Can you elaborate on that?

Hi Barbara! The blue mat is a silicon non-stick crafting surface that allows better clean up in your crafting area 😊

The blue rubber crease mat is for dies that cut and emboss. It allows you to emboss with your dies without cutting through your paper.

What is the weight on it ...I'm trying to find one that same size does as this but very light for taking places thanks
The machine weighs 11 lbs.
One of the best features of this machine is the suction to the table which allows cranking with one hand. Too bad the presenter defeated the purpose by putting it on a cutting mat.
Can you cut cardboard Or chipboard ?
You seem to know exactly what setting for each item.....if I go to a higher number, I can't even crank it! I'm very frustrated. Also u seem to only be using the number side vs left side . Also my machine doors not address a metal plate...is there info omn this? Is it used for intricate dies only??? HELP IM SO FRUSTRATED and having a hard time cranking it. Thank u, hope to hear from u.

Thanks for this info, but i just received my Evolution Embosser, it's an updated version, i'm excited to start using it, but once out of the box, i already have an issue, i don't know how to open up the drawers, they are locked in place i see the up & down arrows, how do i get the drawers to open i can't get to the handle & the side knob doesn't turn easily at all like it shows on any reviews, also the one i got is white not the grayish silver i was expecting, i'd appreciate your help, thanks a bunch.

Quick question, what do you do with the crease mat? Thanks for sharing. Also can you cut with multiple layers?
You can cut multiple layers if the layers are too thick. You will always get a cleaner cut if you only cut one sheet at a time. Some dies have score lines as well as cut lines. This is to allow you to score your folds and not cut through your paper.

Can you cut all types of fabric ?
It would depend on the thickness and if you use a stiffener. Fabric with a stiffener tends to cut easier.
i prefer the Cuttle Bug (it can cut and emboss)

anyone know the name of the die cuts that came with the machine?
This machine does not come with any dies. You can use dies from any manufacturer in this machine. Hope that helps.

The die blades stuck into the cutting mat. Had to use screwdriver and hammer and boiling water to get it out of the mat. What a mess. Had to throw the die in the garbage. Won't try that again!
The instructions that came with with tool are poorly written. The instructions do not include how or when to use the rubber mat. Your video makes it seem that the purchaser gets two B mats and a magnetic mat. You never mention that they must be purchased separately. The is no information in the instructions about what number to use with which material, cork, paper, felt, velum, etc. Please take the guess work out. Other than those oversights, great video. I noticed that none of the questions asked by the individuals here were answered. I feel like we have been left hanging.

This video was informative, but if you are showing consumers what your product does, your camera needs to be close enough to show the finished project. We couldn't see anything in detail.
Does the magnetic platform come with the machine as well?
When I purchased my, last year it did not come with the magnetic platform. It has to be purchased separately.
