    Can you make the tutorial about fabric plain PBR material too?

    Hey Nick!
    Wonderful tutorial as always. I start learning C4D with this channel 8 years ago and thank you so much for all the things you did and still doing for this community.
    Btw you can delete the phong tag or make it 180 degrees to eliminate jagged edges if you're working with cloth. I know you can don't see it with tesselation but I hate that view in the viewport :P

    Great Tutorial. Thanks.
    I have a query. I want made a wood panel for a wall. I need to make fluid wrinkled but I need to constrain the height because the wood is 3 CM thick. I tried making it inside a bounding box as a collider, but it look flat where it collides with the surface.
    Any tips?

    @3:58 Hey! New member here: Where do I find those PSR options? I would love to have those on my dock as well.

      Hey! Welcome to Plus! Thanks for becoming a member. Those rotate tools are included in Plus and can be installed through the HUB. Here is a link to a video where I show you how to set them up in your viewport. th-cam.com/video/L0L-pOmcyQE/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=707
      Let me know if this helps. Cheers!

    Is there an equivalent setting in octane render for the RS tessellation options in redshift? (at 6:52)

    • @Greyscalegorilla
      @Greyscalegorilla  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. With an Octane tag on your object. This should help. th-cam.com/video/rbl8ywnzfiQ/w-d-xo.html&t

    can you do perfect loops with these simulations ???

    • @Greyscalegorilla
      @Greyscalegorilla  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it can be tricky, but it's possible. One way is to bake to alembic and use the alembic tools to try and get back to the loop point.

    bookmark 06:30 - Blender is getting (PC) really messy with the subdivisions especially for the cloth, I wish that Cycles had some of these.

    how do you change the texture scale in the fabric easily? I can't find this parameter in the Plus Library of materials.

    • @Greyscalegorilla
      @Greyscalegorilla  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. You can easily change scale in Cinema 4D in the material tag. Hope that helps!

    is there a way to prevent the cloth plane from bunching up in the middle I have used a few different types of fields and everything pushes into the middle.

  • @jubayerahmed5732

    after applying cloth tag in plane it's not falling down when I hit play on the time line. what should I do, c4d r 25

      Now I figured it out that there is no simulation tab under my project tab. I can't find anywhere.
      what to do?

    • @Greyscalegorilla
      @Greyscalegorilla  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jubayerahmed5732 Sounds like you may have an older version of C4D. This only works in newer versions.

    hey nick how do i get these lens tools from 3:20? can't seem to figure out how to display that panel

    • @blobson
      @blobson ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i figured it out:
      1. window > customization > new palette
      2. shift+c and look for "0-" to get the transform tools
      3. drag them into the palette
      4. shift+c and look for "letterbox" and "primo"
      5. drag them into the palette

    Thanks a lot! One question - I'm using the latest version (R23) and when I hit play, the plane disappears and is just not part of the animation. I've reduced the gravity, and did exactly as your video shows, in vain. I'm new to C4D, would really appreciate you helping me fix this bug.

    • @Havealot
      @Havealot ปีที่แล้ว

      R23 is not the latest version. It's 2023. Confusing, I know :D

    I tried this on Cinema 4d S26 with same parameters used in the tutorial but the turbulence effect wasn't that great as it is in the tutorial. Does this have anything to do with the recent development in the version 2023?

    • @SeraphsWitness
      @SeraphsWitness ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they completely reworked the cloth system in 2023. It's way more stable.
