Cheers. That was just a quick one while we had the machine on the block, we thought we would do a bit of re- habbing and see if we could find a few nuggets to cover costs.
Thanks for your comment. I think the 17” is a must for your arsenal. Especially if you are wanting to cover a lot of ground. The signals are softer than the 11” so you have to listen a bit harder. That said though, it definitely punches deeper, on small and larger nuggets. The only downside, it misses those really tiny sub 0.08 and below. I only used it on one trip so far and I find it very productive.
It’s a drag chain. As the name implies, you drag it behind you so you can see where you have detected. You walk in a grid pattern, also called gridding or chaining.
When we rehab the whole area we will go over it again. No one gets all the gold. This area has been detected for many years, we still have found plenty of gold. In years to come, when we are gone, there will be some left for somebody else.😉
Thanks for the comment. We flatten it out to about 6” and detect over the top. What we hear we pick up. There is always a compromise. The detector will get most stuff over .25

Looks like there has been recent rain out there Paul
There was a lot of rain in April. The area was closed for a month. The desert came alive. Greenest we have ever seen it.
