folks had a 67 coupe when I was a baby... dad had a 79 Pace Car V8 4 speed.. sister had a 71 sportsroof.... mom had an 89 5.0 LX hatchback... I got a 90 GT 5 speed 225hp.... then a 67 Fastback and last a 2013 Boss 302, the one your son got to go on track in Hastings at the Roundup.. Ford blue for life...

It wasn't just safty and smog regulations that brought an end to the big Mustang. The oil embargo was s major reason also.

@@jamesdesmidt447 Ford got lucky with the embargo. They started developing the Mustang II in 1969, though, and the embargo didn’t happen until shortly after the car was already on sale on dealer’s lots.
