I have hens and chicks in front of our home that my wife's grandmother planted years ago. Long before we ever lived here. So I have no idea what kind they are. Every year, there are 2 "stems" or "stalks" that grow about 12 to 14 inches tall. And look like seeds on the end. What are these doing this for? Am I supposed to cut them off?

@@UnapologeticAmerican1776 Just break the stem connecting the two plants, wiggle loose the chick plant, and transplant it into a new place.
