I have watched lots of your videos earlier and all of were too good. But, in this video's question the amount of policy was more than the 'actual' value of goods lost then in that case we will claim the ₹28000 i.e.,the actual amount of goods lost , no? I have learnt the same from institute material and cross checked from another teacher as well...

Stock shall be separated between Normal and Abnormal items. Abnormal items means Poor selling or slow moving items/ goods or stock which is expected to be sold at loss. Therefore Sale of goods for loss that is abnormal loss should be separated and credited to trading account. The reason is GP only calculated on Normal sale ie, sale on goods on profit. Hope its clear
