Hey Alex, I just changed my fuel filter. My 2012 L200 has 2 extra hoses(!), and a little different set-up, but with your expert video, I was able to change it just fine. I added some diesel fuel to the filter before attaching it, and I think it saved me some extra pumping! It's running fine! Thanks again.
Thank you so so much for this helpful, professional video! Just bought a L200, and with your help I changed both oil & air filters and oil. I've ordered a pair of grips from eBay and will do my diesel filter next. I am one grateful chappy.
Thank you for your comment. I'm really glad that it helped you :) that's good news. Sounds good. Good luck with that and don't forget to bleed it properly before starting the vehicle ;)

Hi. You are welcome. I'm glad that it is helping you. No the brake fluid Is usually every 2 years or sometimes can be up to 3 years depending on the quality of the fluid.
Hey dude! Nice vid! I have a l200 with automatic gearbox, is it mutch different to change oil on a automatic gearbox than a manuell gearbox? by the way when is the intervall of changing the oil on the gearbox? Thanks
Hi there. You are welcome. Yes auto is different and a lot more oil. You need to drop sump and filter is usually inside. Then there is a more complicated procedure to fill it up
Thank you. The same way pretty much as the brake fluid on calipers. On the slave cylinder there is a bleeder. But you need to make sure you don't bleed it too much in one go as it only got little bottle. So keep topping up that bottle. Because last thing you want it air in the clutch system. That is a good point. Something that unfortunately isn't in this video.
hello, could you please explain how you do to grease the front pop shaft with the grease gun? i tried to grease on my truck but it is impossible to do it the grease gun tip is too large to be inserted to the nipple thanks
Hi there. Yes it is a complicated one. There are adaptors that you can buy with a smaller joint on the grese gun. Also there is certain position that you can turn propshaft to that opens up the space a bit more.
Alex, I have a 2015 L200 DI-D. It has gone into some sort of limp mode. Struggles to go above 30 mph, revs are loud but dont seem high on the rev meter. air intake is very loud. I have cleand MAF sensor & temp sensor. replaced air filter, replaced boost hose as it was split. Any ideas please?
hello! i have a L200 (2007)automatic and i changed the differential lever while i was in L and it was blocked in HLLC but the car remained in 4H. How can i unblock the differential lever? Thank you! Radu
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne i hope i didn’t come across as a know it all i am far from that. I am purely a d i y mechanic who has had a variety of vehicles mainly land rovers. However i have just purchased a L200 and watched your channel which i found very informative. Thank you for the video. Please keep them coming.
Not at all bud! I am more then happy when people share more information and advice! You are completely right! On some cars like old transits and few others without the diesel in a filter you are in trouble! Also I have been lucky because I got the tools to activate the pump on other vehicles like new vag group cars.

really good video, and that car needs some love , cleaning once in a while. :)
Thank you. Yep I agree. It was cleaned after that :) it's not my car though haha
Jesus Christ you’ve got strong hands getting that oil filter off. I can’t do it with a 1/2 drive
I skipped to the bit where you actually unscrew it 😄
Haha I was just about to say... if I could undo them without an adapter and a ratchet that would be great haha.
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne 😅
I managed to do mine today. Took a bit of force so I reckon they put it on too tight.
Great
Thank you
Do you have ideas about differences between Elegance and Animal/ worries
I think it's just a bodywork and interior bits bud
Great tutorial, any idea where I can get the workshop manual for a L200 Club Cab 2.8 2002 model ??
Thank you very much.
You can use software called Autodata or buy one on ebay 😀

Do you have bleed the brakes at every service intervals?

Hi . I've just bought L200 k74 year 2005 and 2wd 4wd (green) is flashing on dash while in 2wd . What's reason for this do you know thanks
You will need to plug in diagnostic machine first unfortunately
Very common fault on these. 4wd actuator needs replacing. Perfectly safe to drive though. Mines been like it since I got it.

No problem. Thats well far away :) im glad that i can help! Good luck and have a good week ahead.
I removed the UJ from the front diff to grease the UJ .
what type engine oil do you put on the car? 5W30 A3B4 or 5W30 ACEA C3 ?
Hi there. I would recommend putting your REG on the Morris lubricants website in the section of 'what oil's

Hello bud. It wouldn't change with the car running or just the ignition on?
Wow, such fast answer! Thanks. The car was stopped with the motor running.
No problems bud.
Have you got a diagnostic tool at all? To see if there is any code.
No diagnostic tool at all
so I should check first with a diagnostic tool
To help with bleeding the fuel system you should have filled the new filter up with fresh diesel before you screw it on to the housing
Yes that would help if you got spare diesel 😀
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne i alway make sure i have. Makes life so much easier
I agree 👍 to be honest so far never had issue on starting them thankfully haha 😄

What grease do you use?
Hi there. Just a normal universal grease
You don't need to take off the rubber fuel pipes on the filter
En español por favor!!!
I give my van 10-30 it has 120k miles
