If the objects of consciousness are not consciousness itself then why does Advaitic Vedanta says that there is nothing apart from consciousness? Can someone clarify this point? Thanks.
"If the objects of consciousness are not consciousness itself" - this is only from one individual's (Jeeva's) point of view. But, if every object in Reality requires a conscious being, or is an experience in consciousness, then everything there is, IS only Consciousness. I am sure there are better ways to explain this, if you are not getting it from my interpretation above.
Abinash. Metaphor: The spider's web is coming from the spider (consciousness), but the spider is conscious of the web, the web (subtle and gross objects) is not conscious of the spider. The spider exist independent of the web. The web does not exist independent of the spider.

Great video. So understanding this a bit further.. why is there a consciousness? Everything is conciousness. But why is it there?
