      @@CrescentKao Thanks Kao. It seems Amazon makes everything so complicated with basically zero support, so having people like you walk us through these challenges is a really big help! I'm setting up my branded non upc product right now and I've had to send about 5 support requests, and each response I receive doesn't fix the problem, but makes me dig even deeper into the mire. End hopefully soon in sight... lol. I'll definitely watch your suggested video.

    5 have supplier ship the products and start selling?
    is that the right process? where and when do I put barcode on sellers central?

    Hello Crescent, I sincerely appreciate your videos. Surely one of the best and easier to digest. The minimum I can do is to like every video I watch!
    You have answered almost all the questions that one can think of in just one video.
    I do want to know if I should watch out for any specific thing when hiring Chinese freight forwarders I found on Alibaba. I am applying the similar criteria such as trade insurance, 5 starts, # of transactions and value of transactions, etc. They seem to be more cost effective.

    Great video! I am looking to just get the Amazon shipping label to send to my supplier so they can put it on the master cartons. Can I just get these shipping labels without creating the UPS label for SPD? Since I have no idea when I will ship the boxes to Amazon's warehouse, I don't want to create the UPS labels yet.

    • @CrescentKao
      @CrescentKao  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm glad you found value in the content! If you're shipping from overseas, you can't choose the Amazon Partnered Carrier program where you'd be printing the carrier (UPS, fedex) shipping labels. If you're not choosing the Partnered Carrier program, it doesn't matter which carrier you choose, its for you own reference only. You don't get the shipping carrier labels from the shipping plan, you get them from the shipping carrier like UPS or Fedex. This goes over it: th-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/w-d-xo.html

    Thank you for this! super helpful and i must say your videos are the most helpful when it comes to amazon sales! In regards to creating the shipping plan, I have chosen case packed for my first product, in the section where i need to enter box size and weight, i have entered the shipping box size/weight not the individual units sizes/weights. Amazon put my shipment under Oversize, even though my individual units aren't (unit packaging box 4"*4.7"*9") and each unit weighs 0.7kgs - Should i have put the unit dimension/weights instead of the shipping box info in that section instead?

    You're amazing, Crescent! I'm super new to this and have found your tips helpful. I have a question. Do I need 2 shipping plans and 2 different FNSKU's if I'm planning to sell 500 units of 1 product but in 2 different colors (250 brown and 250 black)?
    But also let me back up, in order to create 2 shipping plans, I need 2 product listings (right?) Do those product listings have to be identical? Or should I distinguish it by adding the color?

    Thanks for the tips crescent.
    Please, just 2 questions:
    1. Is there a penalty or punishment from Amazon when you create a listing and do not ship any inventory for a long while (say 2 - 3 weeks).
    Reason for the question is that, the FNSKU label has to be obtained in advance so that the package designer can include the bar code on the product (or the supplier - if i don't want to embed on the package)
    2. Is it preferable for the FNSKU bar code to be embedded on the product package when it is being designed or attached as a sticker by the supplier?

    • @CrescentKao
      @CrescentKao  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re welcome! 1) No. It doesn’t matter if you use the shipping plan or not. You can leave it or delete it, it doesn’t matter. You don’t need to create a shipping plan to get the FNSKU. You can click the Edit drop down menu on the Manage Inventory page and print them there.
      2) you can print or sticker the barcode on the unit. It’s up to you. Printed may be cheaper if you’re already doing a custom package design. This goes over it: th-cam.com/video/lcGHgplGkbY/w-d-xo.html

    We create a shipping plan as soon as the manufacturer finishes production, correct?
    Otherwise we don't know how many boxes or weights they end up with at the end of production...

We're in the UK and going to be trading in the US so I suppose we should get an American insurance company. Also, with regards to the product inspection...if the supplier does a product inspection, would they facetime us to show us the product or do we just trust them that it has actually been done? I suppose it worries me because they would, potentially, be less willing to actually find any flaws with the product as any replacements would be their responsibility and therefore, at their cost. Hi Crescent, Thanks for this video. I'm making my first shipment to Amazon. I'm having products made in China. I'm trying to setup the shipping plan. Firstly it looks different now from when you did this video. Did they make some changes? My question is about large orders. I'm selling a product that's a little oversized, so shipping 150 of them will take over 10 boxes, but the maximum number of boxes I can put in the shipping plan is 10. Should I just create multiple shipping plans which will be shipped to different warehouses? If so, how will that affect my shipping cost? Is there an advantage to having the product in different warehouses for a private label product? Thanks.

      You're welcome. You can create multiple shipping plans. The shipping cost isn't affected by how many shipping plan you make. The shipping cost is fixed by your freight forwarder or whomever is arranging your shipment.

    Thanks for the video, extremely helpful!, question for you. My supplier in china (from alibaba) is shipping DAP not DDP, how can I find out how much more will I need to pay here at customs and I am a bit confused does DAP not deliver straight to amazon warehouse if that's the address I give my supplier?

      You're welcome! DAP delivers straight to the destination but you have to take care of the duties. I'm assuming customs will bill your broker/supplier and then you have to pay the balance once they receive the invoice. Unlike with DDP, the supplier/broker already knows what the duty is and you're paying them upfront for the inventory and duty. Otherwise, I highly suggest hiring a freight forwarder to handle it.

    Hey man, thanks for this vid. Just one simple question. I want to send some shoes to fba warehouse (OA) and I use a 3p prep center, so I wonder if shoes fit in the category of no prep needed or if that's not the case I'd really appreciate if you could tell me which is the correct one. Thank you.

      Hello! You're welcome! If you don't need Amazon to do anything to prepare your item to sell such as labeling or packaging, then you don't need prep: th-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/w-d-xo.html
