The first Soldano plug-in from Neural was a resource PIG…. Many times, i wanted to use it, but I’d switch to the Omega Granophyre to keep my computer from melting… the new Soldano X is giving me none of these issue, and, damn. That new capture is great. You’re right, very nearly Mix ready. I do use the Spectre Digital free IR’s, which push those mids at 2k, giving also some sparkle. Really makes rhythm guitars sit well in a mix. I used the Soldano X in my track, Hondo- on Spotify and all other platforms.
Working on a new track, and, dangit, i used the SoldanoX again! I used to always use the Petrucci plugin for solos, but the Soldano X now has very similar delays and verbs, so it’s become a one-stop-shop.
Also, the Cleans in the SoldanoX plug in are very underrated. I really like them using a P-90. Just chimey as hell

On the Amplitude side have you tried Tonex, the software version that works inside of Amplitude? It’s got tons of amp model options. I would imagine s tweaked like you would love it. Great videos 🤘🏻

That’s a great idea. I think the way it works can be a bit confusing, but I’ve some pretty cool new amp models. I love your videos and would probably benefit if you used it and made awesome videos about it! 😎 no pressure though 😂🎸😂

Hey J, just caught this one. Seems to me like Neural does have a more tight and polished version of this sound. Yet Amplitube seems more true to at least the microphones and how they classically perform. I'm not into the metal and drop d type stuff, but with the nice chords you were playing solidly, you could definitely hear the differences clearly. I'm glad you went in deep in Amplitube to try to match sounds, it's always nice for people to see the great functionality within it.
Seems like it comes down to what we said last time, and that's if we had all the money in the world, we'd grab our top favorite models we couldn't live without with Neural DSP, but definitely have Amplitude for its features and flexibility, and the great adventure in building sounds.

I’m glad you could hear that with the 57!! It just sounded like an amp right?? Warts and all 🤣 neural is the pretty version, I don’t hear that 1987 raw harsh amp in the practice spaces of my favorite old school bands, but AT5 has that 🤣🤣 and more, really “bad to the bone”! @@Itsjorgelanzas Same to you. Yeah, I remember miking my Dean Markley tube amp with either an sm57 or 58, sometime back in '87ish. It did the job, especially considering I was only f'ing around with a Tascam 4- track at the time! Yeah, I will still stick with IK and the 'tube, there's just so much tweaking that can be done to get what you want and be damn pleased with it. Not to mention never having to lug around a 7,000 lb tube amp from gig to gig. It was like being a piano player in a marching band!😎

You can match any neural dsp almost 1:1 with the Helix Native Plugin, it’s my go to guitar plugin. When I need a very responsive dynamic feel kinda thing I go for TomeX. But honestly, that’s 2out of 10 times. Helix Native plugin is your ultimate toolbox, and it’s fx sounding incredible. You can use it for any related production as your multifx toolbox, it’s your modular fx Pedalboard . Try it out line6 giving a 14 days demo period. Neural does look easier to get a good tone. Amplitude having all this customization simultaneously works for and against it. I wanted to like the Soldano in Amplitude more but it can be harsh sounding. Jorge, have you tried the Slash stuff in Amplitude? I was disappointed as I wanted to like it, but it sounds like IK needs to model it again from scratch. Not bashing Amplitude, it's a good amp sim.
I agree with you 100% and yeah, I’ve tried the slash collection, but idk. Nothing sounds right to me in there. The closest Marshall in all amplitube to me was the JH gold I think? Whatever that Marshall is. Softube has my favorite Marshall amp sims, you just have to turn all the fx off and then they’re great 🤣

Had a similar experience comparing the two amp sims, amplitube version sounded harsh and flubby and I much preferred the ndsp version 🤷♂️
Yeah! I that what i felt 🤣🤣 but, there’s ways to make that free version work, that was my takeaway yesterday when doing the video, but I didn’t wanna make the video longer making AT5 sound better. But matching settings DEFINITELY THE WRONG IDEA 🤣🤣🤣 thank you for your nice comment my friend!!
Neural is the shit! It is awesome! I had to buy it! Last week. I tried to make the Amplitude sound right but it was just super harsh. I also owned the real Soldano head. I know you love Amplitude but it does not touch the Neural. Cheers!

What are we supposed to see here when there is not a real soldano slo to see which is closer ?
You are supposed to hear both and see if you like one or the other, 😊 I didn’t see anywhere that the guy claimed he was comparing anything with the a amp, or, who makes the closer model.
