Wow -- Never seen one before -- You should have taken some photos when you had it completely apart to show us. When "real" gates become false gates, one can appreciate the extreme difficulty in picking this lock. A very clever design with "interacting" sidebars, so to speak, based on the gate positioning of the sliders for each side. Quite an interesting lock -- I look forward to Artichoke2000's detailed internal analysis.
