Im finally getting mine installed on my 182 peterson 260se the el paso guys did awesome job calling around to figure out if the canards were going to be a problem. Enjoyed your video can’t wait to get mine!
Last I heard, the Roberson STOL was not yet approved in 185's but it may be now. I was personnally working with Garmin to certify the GFC500 in a 206 with a Roberston STOL, which is now approved! My plane is in the shop, as I type, getting the GFC500 installed. Can't wait!
Can you further elaborate how the GFC500 compares with the "big boys" autopilots? I just got mine and am amazed at what it does. Thank you and great inflight video of the GFC500.
Anyone else catch the call sign “991” at 12:50? Isn’t that Aviation101?
Throwing that into our 180 in a few weeks 😎. Excited for it
Excellent video. Nice climb rate!!

Good video, do you have a magno meter mounted somewhere? And do you have video on the installation of that unit?
So are all gfc 500 with g4 manual trim?
What's with the split is speed between the ASI and speed tape?
One is in knots and one mph.
@@novemberbravo3749 Ok I see in now, did not see the inside numbers, thought the the ASI was in knots
Is the garmin 530 WASS?
Yes, the 530 is WAAS. The magnetometer is mounted in the left wing. Sorry, don't have video, I had the avionics shop install it.
Excellent video. Nice climb rate!!
