on a mission to get a comment liked by sbmtg, i may be the first to have a comment liked. Other than that, appreciate the content my guy currently watching this whilst trying to be better at building decks.
Important note these are modern legal and Senu is actually very powerful as it can pitched to solitude and brought back with an attacking Ragavan And if hits the graveyard it can be fuel for the RW Titan’s escape cost and brought back when it attacks
As someone who’s a historian, an AC fan, a fan of assassin’s, a MTG fan, and a fan of intriguing card design, I actually really like this set! Though not huge on the Animus frames, and costs could be better. Plus general product fatigue/wear issues.
I believe that the Templar Knight closes the color pie: Slime Against Humanity, Relentless Rats, Dragons Fire, Persistent Petitioners. Some have more than the other, but now all five!
I kind of like the design of the set. They mentioned that they couldn't do a full set because there weren't enough green cards, and I thought it'd be cool to do a universes beyond set with only 4 colors.
Remember when Toys R Us was a thing and you'd go in and they'd have an entire aisle of Monopoly games? Regular Monopoly, Deluxe, Catopoly, Dogopoly, LoTR Monopoly, etc. That's coming to your LGS in the coming years.
Haystack is the top card for me for EDH. Repeatable phase on demand for 2 mana for Voltron decks and/or decks with must-kill commanders is insanely powerful.
Okay so couple things with I find lacking with the intro pack version of Eivor from someone whose favorite deck is her Akiri, Fearless Voyager commander deck, causing me to develop a rather refined taste for equipment legends bc so many are part of the team in there: 1: way too expensive to sit in the zone of a deck that needs to be prepared to start using a well outfitted army (not just one creature with too many swords) to take scalps on turn 5 or 6 at the LATEST 2: does not provide card advantage, which is utterly essential in a deck where the balance of different moving parts is so fine-turned 3: for being that pricey, does not do anything to protect itself or its team, does not cheat equip costs, and does not help get you through blockers, all things I would more than expect a 5 mana legend in this space to do at least one of
It makes me happy to see some love paid to the early AC games & characters, and I think they nailed the flavour on some of the reprints (Temporal Trespass!!), I just can't feel good about putting money or even brand affirmation Ubisoft's way anymore. It's a real shame, since AC is only one of the IPs I like that they have locked up.
Abstergo Entertainment is the in-universe location that is most like WotC headquarters. So Entertainment is part of the name of the company, think Blizzard Entertainment, if that helps explain the name of the card and why it makes sense as a land.
Hi Dev, hoping you read this! I am an older player looking to get back into the game and I’ve always played standard and that’s my preferred game. It seems that all of the local shops only run Commander, not standard. Is there anything that will or can be done to bring back standard at the local FNM’s?
Is the hand with the hidden blade an illo from a card? Because they got the blade position wrong. Isn't it supposed to emerge through the space left by the missing finger? Thus the reason the finger was removed?
If I recall correctly, they changed that by the time Ezio joins the order. (I think they even have Leonardo Di Vinci make a joke about it?) It makes sense on a practical level: If you're going to have a society of hidden spies and killers, it would be a bad idea for all of them to have the exact same permanent and very visible physical trait, right? So from the 15th Century onwards, the hidden blades come out from the wrist, like Spider-Man's web shooters!
This set is so weird. I knew it was coming, but never heard anything commercial wise about it. Is it an actual set? Or is it a handful of commander decks?
My sister loves the games, but I have to pass somewhere, and this set has to be it. That being said, at least the vibe here is better than anime girls...
These IP "crossovers" just show that WoTC has run out of original ideas. They should create a card called "Seattle Mind Rot" and feature random members of their creative team. They someone managed to ruin LoTR which is no small feat.

Ya did it. Take a bow my guy
You succeeded in your quest my friend

You and I are the same my friend. I’m from Belgium too so very proud about the carta mundi mtg print factory.

Yep, now we just need a colorless card basic lands don't count
I just realized something I should have a long time ago my guy...Where are the 'coffee breaks'?!? Bring back please🙏🙏
I’m also pretty geeked out on coffee constantly. Bring that ish back
Watching for dev. Not for creed
Same here
Dev, you’re wonderful and I appreciate your videos. Can’t wait to catch another stream.

I wonder if AC cube could be a thing, either paper or arena 🤔

Feeding the algorithm so Dev can be the second mtg content creator to hit 1M subs

Bought couple packs just to have a try, even though not that interested in the whole set.
Good video!
Not sure if I'll pick up more than a few cards here and there. Thanks for the video!

It's your favorite magic channel
Good mix up on the Lava Greaves
💪😀❤️
Shay Cormac should have also forced permanents to phase in. Then it'd be perfect

As long as the set makes brawl more fun i support it. Not sure if any of these are even coming to arena honestly
Wow, those cards are impressive! 🎮👏
Don’t personally care about the Assassin’s Creed set, but I am SUPER excited for Bloomburrow
I'm quite excited for this release
Oh wow, Shay will make all Sauron Commander stans weep and wail.

@Miksho7 right, but in the thumbnail for this vid, the finger is missing...

Apple seems nice to have to rip away all their counterspells, then cast nothing and give them nothing, and resolve the win when they cant stop you.
Also, I see people keep forgetting that this set is modern legal
Templar knight is cool
You my spirit animal dev
This isn't why I subbed this channel, the hell happened to "budget deck tech"?
i want crystal skull for my shorikai deck
The juicy stuff only boi
I was originally hyped for this but at this point I'm very skeptical
I just went HAM on MTG reddit calling WOTC "whale hunters" because they don't put universe beyond into Arena.
My sister loves the games, but I have to pass somewhere, and this set has to be it. That being said, at least the vibe here is better than anime girls...
Good set not Mad
Engagement
