That's very cool bro! I hope you've enjoyed yourself this two weeks, I imagine, memories of you both playing are a great treasure for you. sure it was a quest and a very kind and brave one. What a beautiful way to remember him, by trying to find an old Japanese game which in many cases (for westerners are almost impossible to find again) and succeed. Thanks for sharing that wonderful experience of yours, the bond you have with your bro will never fade. :D

Thanks for putting this video together. It was pretty useful to figure out what games I’d like to try. It was kind of a hassle to look up the names of the games, though. 32:28 Helpful information: Tales of Phantasia was released in America for Game Boy Advance. As far as I know, there are only minor differences in the music.
+King Victor Gooby i did play it as a kid and to tell you the truth with 0 knowledge of japanese i managed to beat it it is a good game....matter of fact it was one of the best experience
King Victor Gooby its kinda short if you know what your doing and gets poring really fast talking to every person in the game just to advance the story and you will get stuck at some point just to find out that you need to ether use or give an item to a person to advance the story the bosses & stupid supaman minigames is fun and the music is really well done.
Wow, some of these look amazing and really show off the power the ps1 was capable of back in the day, alot of these still hold up well, even by todays standards, then came the 1st xbox and that blew my mind with how good the graphics were on it, then the ps3 with Uncharted and now the ps4 with its many beautiful games like the witcher 3 , graphics keep improving but sometimes its fun just to go back in time and break out the ps1 games, still fun and still loved by many, japan has allways had great games we never got here, shame, the turbo grafix 16 had a small American library but the japan pc engine, their turbo grafix 16, had a huge library full of awesome games, the famicom and the sexy super famicom had loads of japan only titles as well, especially if you like rpg's
Hey dude, im a huge fan of your channel. Im glad you finally release another video after a long awhile. I watched your video hoping to get the name of a particular ps1 japanese game but its not in the video. I hope you can help cause it been bugging me for sometime now. Its a japanese game about a model kit rc hobby of some sort. You make cars, robots and all sort of things by the use of 2d square plates. You start at a park driving your starter rc car and complete challenges to unlock more parts to build with. Any ideas?
I’m so glad I found Dr. Slump at the beginning of this video it was the game I had been searching for. My favorites on this list are Donpachi and Cotton original
Es impresionante la cantidad de juegos que nunca vimos y los secretos que tendran!, antes tenia una version de EarthBound en Japones Mother y tenia mucha mas cosas!
I really want a fan translation to Snatcher for PS1. I mean, I've owned and enjoyed the Sega CD port for decades now, but it would be a fun new experience to play through a different version.
One of the games that I am looking for is a 3rd person shooter, you play three characters through the story, a man, a girl, and guy with a weird hat/helmet, I do recall the enemies dressed like stormtroopers, and there was a maze, the game had 2 discs, and the japanese intro song was amazing.
The music is ThunderCloud from ŌkamiDen! People keep saying Ōkami but you're not going to find it in the original Ōkami OST. th-cam.com/video/uaWFynjQRQU/w-d-xo.html (The lack of Kowloon's Gate oustands me)
The Last Blade is amazing. I have it on my PS3 by the way. I got it on the JP PlayStation Store on a NA PS3 which is mine. There’s a lot of SNK titles on the JP PlayStation Store on PS3, which I like.
I watched the whole video, and tried to find info on most of them on the net, and guess what ? For lots of them is hard to find proper info on the net, even on wikipedia, so it would be nice if someone could make articles on wikipedia about them , its not hard, anyone can become contributor there . And also I see you start to post longer videos of some J games in your channel , with small info. I have advice for you to put link of those videos in front of their game names in info of this video , and also position of the game in this video , for instance: 20:16 Momotaro Densetsu - th-cam.com/video/eE_kbgBUeTM/w-d-xo.html
KodaiYuki1 Google Playstation Datacenter - it's got information on more or less every PS1 game save a few. Regarding your suggestion, I've been meaning to provide links to the games' positions, but haven't had the time. I'll probably get to it in a few days.
KodaiYuki1 Unfortunately the Romanization of Japanese is inaccurate so when you type in those Japanese names (in English) they will not always turn up anything, though if you use the Japanese google search you might have better luck getting info, but in Japanese of course. You need some tools like English to Katakana convertor and Romaji Kanji convertor, etc.
Anyone knows a game of PS1 of planes and helicopters that had an anime intro? You can do special attacks and choose different characters and everyone has his own vehicle. ¿Alguien sabe un juego de PS1 de aviones que tenía una intro anime y que podías elegir a varios personajes y que cada uno pilotaba su vehículo? Creo que uno de los personajes tenía un ataque especial que decía algo como "Hannigun attack".

Yeah i never understood why there weren't more good 2d games that instead of focusing on making "good 3d graphics" which was fucking laughable they just focused on the step up in hardware they had to make faster moving games.
Logan Jorgensen because with 3D Graphics you can create a true 3D Gameplay you can't do that with 2D Graphics and Seriously stop shitting on Early 3D Games just because they don't look pretty
Not the point dude as you can mix 2D and 3D very well. The point was SOA refused 2D titles for 3D titles even when the 3D was really bad. I like good low poly games, just not abortions like DD because they happen to be all polygon.
Logan Jorgensen a lot of games in early 3D era were trying to go in more realistic style so i don't think that mixing 2D and 3D graphics will work well plus back then most gamers wanted a true 3D games and that's why i think most of these games were released only in japan
Yeah it was nuts, "realistic" from a few hundred polygons for meshes didn't work well, so many crates, so much fog, with mostly empty rooms often on PS1 and N64. Well I do think mixing can work well as games like Disruptor showed. Generally you get better frame rates and model appearance concentrating polygons into the environments solely which is what a lot of Japanese developers did.

32:28 Helpful information: Tales of Phantasia was released in America for Game Boy Advance. As far as I know, there are only minor differences in the music.
And the brightness. ToP GBA is very freaking bright because the GBA didnt had a backlight.
WHAT?! A DR. SLUMP GAME!? AS A KID I WOULD HAVE KILLED FOR THAT!!!
+King Victor Gooby i did play it as a kid
and to tell you the truth with 0 knowledge of japanese i managed to beat it
it is a good game....matter of fact it was one of the best experience
That tells me it's easy. Little me loved easy games.
King Victor Gooby its kinda short if you know what your doing
and gets poring really fast talking to every person in the game just to advance the story
and you will get stuck at some point just to find out that you need to ether use or give an item to a person to advance the story
the bosses & stupid supaman minigames is fun
and the music is really well done.
Wow, some of these look amazing and really show off the power the ps1 was capable of back in the day, alot of these still hold up well, even by todays standards, then came the 1st xbox and that blew my mind with how good the graphics were on it, then the ps3 with Uncharted and now the ps4 with its many beautiful games like the witcher 3 , graphics keep improving but sometimes its fun just to go back in time and break out the ps1 games, still fun and still loved by many, japan has allways had great games we never got here, shame, the turbo grafix 16 had a small American library but the japan pc engine, their turbo grafix 16, had a huge library full of awesome games, the famicom and the sexy super famicom had loads of japan only titles as well, especially if you like rpg's
the grphics are totally jacked up cause there on emulator, reguardless these games look amazing!
This music is a little intense to be listening to it for an entire hour.
Music: Okamiden - "Thunder Cloud"
Nice vídeo. Thank you. I Love japanese games
thank you for uploading this! :D
Any ideas?
MrCerberust That would be Panekit.
dude... marry me and have my babies... I MEAN Th-Thanks!!!
You're welcome.)
The adventures of little Ralph is a great game to play during the weekend.
good job youtbe for removing the annotaions... really did the platform a service huh?
Thank for making video, i found my childhood
Man I just played Gear Warrior Dendoh and loved it! Thanks for this list. I wouldn't have known about these games without it!
Thanks for the hard work you put in this video... I really mean it... :D
the wood chopping one gave me whiplash
I’m so glad I found Dr. Slump at the beginning of this video it was the game I had been searching for. My favorites on this list are Donpachi and Cotton original
The resolution looks better than original....
That's cause he's using emulators. His filters aren't too drastic so that's fine to me.
Damn... thanks for this. Legendary video!!
ah finally!! Milano no Arubaito THANK YOU!! i search it for long time!! :)
There is a problem at the level of the names of the titles c is domage the video is well done. You could improve that
Great video collection, thanks for the clips.
OMFG, I finally found my childhood game that I can't remember the name cuz it was written in Japanese. Thank you so much :D
which one is it?
@@leandrolambardi9712 the wonder trek. The name was written in katakana and i can't read it when i was a kid 😂
thank you for upload this video my love...:"D
Where is the music from?
FlamingGnats Okami
ŌkamiDen*, the DS sequel that nobody wants to talk about. Its name is ThunderCloud.
I actually thought it was a remix to IPMan's theme
Raiden DX is one of my favourite shoot'em up
Thx for this video guy !
I wished you din't overlayed the audio with music.
I really want a fan translation to Snatcher for PS1. I mean, I've owned and enjoyed the Sega CD port for decades now, but it would be a fun new experience to play through a different version.
Racing Lagoon is a must play!! loved the story even thought i can read them but picture tells it.
Great video, thanks for uploading.
Excellent video. Thank you.
One of the games that I am looking for is a 3rd person shooter, you play three characters through the story, a man, a girl, and guy with a weird hat/helmet, I do recall the enemies dressed like stormtroopers, and there was a maze, the game had 2 discs, and the japanese intro song was amazing.
It’s called Cybernetic Empire.
The music is ThunderCloud from ŌkamiDen! People keep saying Ōkami but you're not going to find it in the original Ōkami OST.

(The lack of Kowloon's Gate oustands me)
The Japanese know how to have fun that's for sure.
Some of these titles were also on the SNES with no graphic differences.
So many interesting game.
Too bad some of them are very hard to find.
Thank you very much for your work
The best PS5 games I have ever seen.
Thanks for making that vid , red
awesome list, thank you so much !!
All your videos are great. Thanks for sharing! :)
I thought in some games that can fit here too, Sampaguita and Beatmania series
The Last Blade is amazing. I have it on my PS3 by the way. I got it on the JP PlayStation Store on a NA PS3 which is mine. There’s a lot of SNK titles on the JP PlayStation Store on PS3, which I like.
Thank You so much for this list , finally i find out the game i was looking for Ganbare Goemon 2 .
great video! saw a lot of stuff i liked
The music make me wanna dress as a Kabuki and shout "YO" every 10 seconds.
I have advice for you to put link of those videos in front of their game names in info of this video , and also position of the game in this video , for instance:
20:16 Momotaro Densetsu - th-cam.com/video/eE_kbgBUeTM/w-d-xo.html
KodaiYuki1 Google Playstation Datacenter - it's got information on more or less every PS1 game save a few.
Regarding your suggestion, I've been meaning to provide links to the games' positions, but haven't had the time. I'll probably get to it in a few days.
KodaiYuki1 Unfortunately, no can do. I've just tried it and I hit the 5000 character limit almost immediately.
KodaiYuki1 which of all those game are horror???
KodaiYuki1 Unfortunately the Romanization of Japanese is inaccurate so when you type in those Japanese names (in English) they will not always turn up anything, though if you use the Japanese google search you might have better luck getting info, but in Japanese of course. You need some tools like English to Katakana convertor and Romaji Kanji convertor, etc.
+KodaiYuki1 they need to release in uk also. So many great games Grr)
Thanks for making this :)
Oh man, the loads of glorious 2D goodness the U.S. sorely missed out on. Sad face. Might have to snag a PSOne JPN.
I did; definitely get the PSOne "slim" model because it's external power supply lets you just use the American power supply, SCPH-113.
waa you put so much effort into this man its great. Do you still use youtube?
Anyone knows a game of PS1 of planes and helicopters that had an anime intro?
You can do special attacks and choose different characters and everyone has his own vehicle.
There has to be more than games than this!! Please do a dreamcast one?

Sony of America "Beautiful 2D graphics, nah we'll stick with ugly 3D games like Deathtrap Dungeon.
