I had a camper at Swansboro NC and we never paid for shrimp. Cast net and caught a lot of good fish.

Great Vid! Gave up on finding the walmart reel. Went to a local dick sporting goods and found a Penn fierce 3 4000 for $47. They had construction going on and the manager gave me another $10 off because I had to order online in the store and have to wait for them to dig it out of a box. Im pairing it with my new H20 express 10' surf rod. A complete set up for $86 plus tax.

One question. The way you filleted your snapper is the same way I fillet pretty much all of my fish. I noticed that you did not fillet the trout that way. When you did the trout, you went clean through and left the skin on, so you would filet ot easier. Is there a reason why you differed between the two fish?
probably because of the size of my fish cleaning area

I was catching mangrove snapper on the flats yesterday also. I was fishing for snook and trout on the grass flats with a 4in zman minnow and the snapper were hitting that.
The green creole croaker was the color of the day for me.
