So I have never had more respect for you JC than I do today. Typically I don’t like catch and cooks I just want to see the fishing. But to see all the work you put in to make your own grill and cook something in the wild is true dedication to your channel. I also respect the no ice in the cooler, just frozen bottles. I do the same thing, tight lines my friend, tight lines.

JC, the grill needs some outriggers. Be careful if you fillet puffer fish, they are poisonous.

Omg. If you're targeting redfish. Go tight to the mangroves with cut bait, on low tide follow the mullet schools on the flats with live bait under a bobber.

JC great video. Puffers are one of the best eating fish you will ever try. Just cut the head off and peel the backbone out and fry there are two loin like strips of meat running along the back that are white and flaky and very mild. We call them chicken of the sea here in NC.

Nice catch JC and the meal looked great! Honestly, I wish they hadn’t decided to open redfish or snook for that matter. Our redfish locally the past 3 years is the best it’s been in over a decade easily and that’s due to the closures. It wasn’t that long ago that the walking joke around here was that a redfish was like a unicorn and that had nothing to do with water quality, they just got whacked too much. I was happy to see a lot of guides post that with the opening they would still stay catch and release only on snook and reds for their charters. Your lone fish is all good, I know you aren’t out there keeping a limit of reds each day like so many do when they open

Hi JC puffer fish are very good to eat as long as you clean them without cutting into the gut area if you pierce the intestines you poison the meat.

Love your videos! I’ve been slamming 40”+ redfish just about every night I go fish since the mullet have gotten thick in Texas. I got my new PB red and trout in the last month. The redfish was 46 inches and the trout was two nights ago that was 27 inches!!! I’m aiming for a 50 inch plus redfish this year. Keep up the quality and fish on buddy!🤙

    Hi have a question
    wat kind of fishing kayak
is that one you are using and
    how much price is and
    best place to buy at
    Because I have a
    Teton angler 100 and
    can't really stand up in
    its to wobbly but
    I like that fishing kayak
    your using seems really sturdy
