  • Prufrock appears to have moved forward some. Still plenty of Cybertrucks parked ready to be shipped out. The inspection and charging lot on the east side is still being used.

    Thanks Brad.
1:18. New EOL Transport Yard. North of. Setting up the curb/kerb paving machine.
2:21. Westside. Tunnel Project. 7 complete lining rings visible. Cutterhead still visible a couple of metres in front of where the TBM shield disappears.
3:34. New EOL Superchargers. Excavation works within the groups of orange traffic cones. Circular rebar cages visible. Presumably the start of the awning structure.
5:19. Westside. Old contractors’ parking lot. Elevated water tank is gone.
5:46. Westside, storage. Asphalt paving works. Unexpected.
7:09. Cathode south. Bottom right. As the image changes from the Westside works to here, a pair of crash tested Cybertrucks are being hauled away. Vehicles gone from 8:08.
7:24. Cathode. Tank Farm. Apron. Fabricating pipework to the left of the 4 stainless steel tanks.
7 white tanks. At least 5 are marked Oxygen.
7:31. Die Shop. North of. Tree showing some green shoots.
9:41. River Road east extension. Simultaneously bringing in more suitable fill (bottom), while hauling away the loose overburden (top).
10:30. Parking Garage. Centre. Final wall panel with a tree and flag.
11:11. BIW. Apron. 3 mobile chiller units return.
11:15. BIW. Roof. Pipework project being lagged/insulated.
11:51. Southend, south. Bottom right. Centre tunnel/passage. Fromwork stripped. Vertical grooves cast into the face of the retaining wall that correspond to the width of the tunnel/passage behind, scale at 3.9m 13’ apart.
12:52. Southend, inside. Well, this is inconvenient. Black stormwater drain is laid a little to the right of the speculative tunnel alignment. Suggests the tunnel portal is closer to the west perimeter.
Line of pairs of small white pipe risers towards the top is the alignment the tunnel is on.
13:15. Southend east, inside. Small square excavation has mud base.
Steelwork. Erection has halted over the last few days.

5:46 At 6:18 you see the truck drivers nightmare, dumping blacktop on the ground in front of the paver. The paver does not have enough traction to keep going. The pile has to be picked up and the wheel paths have to be cleared. Usually means some manual labor that causes some paving crew dislike of the truck driver.

Hidding in plain sight, Tesla is building a megastructure facility (Employee Parking Garage) in approximately 6 months. I expect they will use similar construction methods to rapidly build next generation platform vehicle Gigafactories around the globe.

Parking Garages are simple enough structures. Nothing different about this structure. Same for all the buildings on the site, simple regular construction methods.

2:35 Can see the pool of mud/foam coming out of the TBM cutterhead and creating a mess up to the fence line. Also the cutterhead itself almost visible where it is still collapsing the soil above it (1-2 feet below surface). It shouldn't be allowed to do that once it passes the fence line (it is bad practice under any circumstances). If that were my adjacent property I would be standing by with my camera and lawyer. I think it is public land!
Backfilling around the built rings (8 so far) to offer some additional confinement to the rings (they may be able to push a little more with this in place).

The TBM being used on this project is an EPB (earth pressure balanced).
The Herrenknecht series of TH-cam videos about EPB TBMs describe how this works.

must admit I thought the same, not a huge time saving versus the existing road route, but maybe there will be more tunnels on the site later. Also gives the boring company another completed project I guess.
