- For today's video we are going over the full history of the Dodge Super Bee! Today is Part 2, focusing on the 2007-2009 and 2012-2014 Super Bees that recently returned to the Chargers. The Super Bees are more of a budget performance car, and got their own unique features, special high-impact paint colors, and powerful engines. Watch along as we go over all the details!

Back in the day my brother and I were huge Mopar fanatics. While he owned Road Runners 1969 & 1973 340 Magnum. I was always a big Charger fan from when I was little. As I got older I always wished I had a Super Bee. I had an early 1973 model 340 Magnum 2 door coupe, that had the after factory dealer installed shoulder belts. The car was all original a one of the best maintained Chargers around. Unfortunately in the early 1990's I had to sell my Charger to pay my tuition for Paramedic school.
I promised myself I would replace my car one day with a Hemi. Fast forward to 2020, and I was finally able to buy a brand new Frostbite Blue Scat Pack with all the factory Bee emblems. All though it doesn't say "Super Bee" I still have a lot of people tell me how much they love my "Super Bee" and I don't correct them. These new Dodges are everything we could've/would've dreamed of back in the day. Everyone ask me why I didn't get a Hellcat, I just grin, & look back on an almost 30 year career as a Paramedic and a "Promise made, and a Promise Kept"

Damn the 2007 superbee is faster to 60mph than I thought, 4.8 seconds is still pretty quick still these days as well, that’s impressive
08 Surf blue Super Bee owner. Just bought a month ago. Stays in the garage and used as a weekend car. I'm hoping the car is a good buy long term. Wish me luck. Sure is fun to drive!
I owned a 71 super bee, blue with black graffics, with air grabber scoop, 383 had been swapped with a 71 440 from a Chrysler Imperial, paid $750, took all of my income tax money, I used to love opening the air grabber, what wonderful memories.
I've occasionally seen a 2007-2009 in Detonator Yellow driving by in a certain location. Cool classic retro look with a true muscle car exhaust.
I like the idea of a more budget-oriented version of a vehicle that pays more attention to the interior and doesn't have too much done to the exterior. Perfect for those people who can easily get around, don't need much technology, aren't picky about seating comfort, want a more simple, eye-catching two-tone exterior, and want the power and performance from the fancier, more expensive version.

I have always love this car , about a month ago I saw the newes body style in Black and tinted windows , I live in. Salisbury NC the car had a VA government tag . Thinking our veterans could use the money more . But I have to tell you I fell in love with this car , can't stop looking to see again or own one just like it . Beautiful car

I have a 2008 Daytona. Was running alongside one of the 2012-2014 Super Bees today. I didn't even try.
I remember seeing a charger super bee when I was nine and always wanted one. Was finally able to get a 2018 Charger, shame it ain’t a super bee but still very grateful to have an awesome car. Lol
I have a 07 Super Bee SRT the engine start to tick and knock so it just been sitting for years. After watching this video i wanna get it fix and get it back on the road...Thanks for a great video...

Mopar didn’t start doing that until the 2017 Daytona I believe

Also worth mentioning that the 2009 Super Bee was also the only 5th Gen Bee to get a limited slip differential - being that no SRT8 Charger got them until 2009. Interesting that they didn’t make a 2010.
The 6th Gen 2012-2014s could be optioned out with almost everything the top SRT8s had - except for the sunroof and adaptive suspension. Nav, Paddle Shifters and HIDs were always available as options. And I think leather and forged wheels became an option for 2014.

Had a 12, baddest fucking car I’ve had. Rebuilt engine and trans, added after market turbo and intake, carbon fiber exhaust tip with glass exhaust kit, carbon fiber hood, wrapped in midnight black with the darkest tint i could go (way darker then legal limit) black light under glow, can’t remember tire size but they were deep spokes black an white to match the racing stripes, leather interior, after market steering wheel. Omg man I miss that thing

I have the black 13 Superbee. I didn't like the grey decaling. So it's a Maleficent theme bee. It was the most fun I've ever had with a car. And now i know only 718 was made during my year I'll treasure it even more.

2007 Superbee # 22 of 1000. 925 Were sold new in the U.S. 75 Sold new in Canada. Mine is also one of the 75 sold new in Canada.
I hate that people don’t ever pay mind to the 2016-2018 Charger SRT 392, it has all of the things a hellcat has like launch mode and stuff ( it’s where the scat packs mute button is, so that’s a cool ass mute button) like the dynamic driving modes and SIX piston Brembo’s instead of 4 on the scat pack, the reason I say this is Bc my dad has one

'Basic' unit looks way more 'performance' inside than the 'luxury-performance' car. Cloth seats are much better at anchoring you in place than leather seats. Love the Chargers.

far as performance is, all i gotta say if it has a hemi in it im more than glad to take it.
my boss said he used to own a 2008 dodge charger SRT8, until the cam seal started to leak and smoke start to fill up the engine bay. he no longer has it, he has an F150 now and a few other cars, altho i never seen his SRT8 it was kinda crazy to hear that dodges top line trim level failed him, and this was way before i meet my boss. just like my dad owned a 2004 dodge durango with the 4x4 5.7 hemi, we only had it for at least half a year or so, until the valve stem broke in half. man dodge sucked 10 or 13 years ago, now dodge is completely badass all the way.

I really love the look of my 2014 Charger R/T in Header Orange with the black grill and crosshair. I honestly hate the current grill from 2015 to present, they don't look menacing at all.
Yeah me either and like 300s much more, but the newer ones are pretty sporty looking when done right in 392 or hellcat trim. My first car was a 68, and wish that they did not use the iconic name for a sedan
