In this video we discuss the psychrometric process of cooling and dehumidification and show on the psychrometric chart.
To understand the psychrometry process of cooling and dehumidification there are two properties of air we need to look at. Drybulb and Humidity Ratio.
The dry-bulb temperature is the temperature of air measured by a thermometer freely exposed to the air. Humidity ratio is the actual amount of moisture in the air Grains / LB of dry air. Also expressed in lb water / lb of dry air.
These slides taken from our webinar called "How To Read A Psychrometric Chart". If you are in the refrigeration and air conditioning field then knowledge of the psych chart is essential. In this webinar we discuss the following properties of air: Dry Bulb, Wet Bulb, Enthalpy - BTU Per Pound of Dry Air, Humidity Ratio - Grains of Moisture Per Pound of Dry Air, Dew Point, Humidity Ratio - Pounds of Moisture Per Pound of Dry Air, Relative Humidity (%RH), Vapor Pressure - Inches of Mercury. We describe how the chart is constructed in detail. We also review the psychrometric processes of sensible heating, sensible cooling, humidification and de-humidification.

The Psychrometric Chart used here is in Normal Temperature, I-P Units at Sea Level with How to Use A Psychrometric Chart Instructions on Back. Also Shown on This Psych Cart: Sensible Heat Ratio Qs/Qt, Saturation Temperature Curve, Cubic Volume of Air. Dry Bulb Temperature Range of -10F to 130F, Dew Point Temperature Range From -10F to 90F, Humidify Ratio Range 0-200 Grains, Wet Bulb Temperature Range -10F to 90F. Examples on back showing the psychrometric process cooling and dehumidification.
This is by far the best video and thank you as a concept explanation on this but could you PLEASE do a metric version for the non-USA learners. If you do, your hit rate would be huge. Thanks
Thank you for the compliment!
Excellent

Very helpful for exam

what is the method of dehumidification without cooling?
Active desiccants. They use heat to dehumidify.
The link for the webinar is not working , great information
Sorry that one has passed. Thank you.
