well speaking from my own experience...my family sometimes go all year without seeing each other & even when we all finally meet up, a few are still absent. & don't get me started on my dad, my last time seeing him before he died was like 5 years prior, ran into at Walmart.

I can't speak for anyone else but, if I saw any kind of significant wound (healed or not) on my kid, I'd ask my kid and whomever had them when the injury occurred.
Especially if it happened more than once or they had multiple marks that didn't seem to have come from "normal" kid accidents (ie: scraped knees, small bruises from falls, shallow cuts/scratches, etc).
I think most parents would agree.

Gabi's father tried to check on her and Stoni all the time, but Michelle wouldn't let him. Finally, he just stopped all together. Then Michelle stopped buying food for the house and started spending the money on drugs and alcohol. Michelle is a liar! Those kids were not molesting each other, and even if something did happen, it wasn't the kids doing it to each other. I have a set of twin girls and their father wasn't there for them either. I struggled the same way and even had CPS called on me because we were homeless and would go for days without food. When I did get food, I would give to the girls and keep going hungry. I reached out to their father too, but I got no help from him at all, so I do understand how she feels. However, I don't understand why she thought killing her children would make things right. The struggle to raise them being a single mom might have turned out differently. My daughters are A/B students, both have jobs, neither are pregnant, one is heading to the marines and the other to college. Even with their father not being there, they surprised me with the decisions they have made regarding their lives. There are tons of single moms out there who struggle to raise their children. The kicker is you don't give up on raising your kids because they have deadbeat dads. When they become adults, they could surprise you on what responsible adults they could become despite having an absent father.

I just wonder who failed her along the way...It's just terribly sad. I somehow have sympathy for her, because she's a victim of her circumstance. I liked your comment, because this is how I almost always view these types of cases too. That being said, I've found myself really struggling with this woman to feel anything for her after watching her interrogation, it's beyond almost anything I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. The way she tries to justify her actions by accusing the victims of her abuse of molesting her youngest son, and then blatantly lying to the detective to validify her false story. It absolutely seems to me that the only thing she wants from being a mother a control and manipulation.
I heard someone say, "Don't piss down my back, and tell me it's raining." This woman did not kill 2 of her kids because she believed they were molesting their sibling. A loving mother would have sought help in dealing with this issue, by having it investigated. Blair Mitchell was a woman full of anger, and resentment because she was left to raise her children on her own. She was an overwhelmed single parent that made the choice to be abusive on all levels to her children. God forbid the 2 children looked like their dead beat fathers. She probably made them suffer even more because of it. And she had the nerve to say that she was proud of what she had done. No she wasn't. A person that is proud of something,... Flaunts it for the whole world to see. That's why she kept her kids out of school, and wouldn't let any family members in her home to see them. She didn't want to go to jail.
