This is nothing new for Renault, they've been using this technology since 2010. So guess what, no matter what, thieves will find a way around any system. I enjoy life being made easy with the Renault card key. It's brilliant

Can you unintentionally lock someone in the car? Will the car lock with the keys inside if you forget to take your key with you?

I love how car makes are so excited about standard stuff that's really not exiting. Kinda like when my dealer told me my car has powered mirrors and get this... bluetooth connectivity 😱
Like seriously, you're not going to get me excited unless the car has a star roof, heated steering wheel, air conditionned seats, massage seats or something that not every single car has.

Why didn't that system die yet? Such a stupid system. When it bends slightly in your pocket, the key is broken.
When it's stuck in shaft, your screwed.
With a new key release mechanism and a worn key shaft it now just spews the card out somewhere into the car when you don't catch it.
What's wrong with an actual key that just works and doesn't break your bank

So you walk upto your car with bags full of stuff no hands free... But you have to touch the car anyway to unlock it? So you might as well use the key if you have to put bags down to touch your car to unlock it.... IT MAKES THIS SYSTEM POINTLESS....

More electronics to go wrong... wonderful, not. Bring back simple mechanical cars you can fix at home and dont 'detect trouble' and shut down in the fast lane of the motorway. Sorry renault NOT impressed!!!
