Rewriting a 4-shaft Weaving Draft to Thread on 8 Shafts

In this video I demonstrate how to rewrite a 4-shaft weaving draft to thread on 8 shafts, including the new tie-up. As a bonus I also show how to change the treadling sequence to a "walking treadle".

I was taught tabby was 1,3,5,7 ... 2,4,6,8. I didnt know tabby could be any different than that. Thanks for the info, I am confused but will work it out.

Tabby is technically every other thread, so since the threading on this draft is 1323 1424 the tabby ends up on 12 and 34. I'm glad you were able to learn something new. Thanks for watching ❤️
