The more this game develops and the longer it's out it seems like all the music for the game is getting increasingly more beautiful and lively, much more Subnautica than a horror game, but still a horror game. All the floral life and fauna and added gardening, expansive ice caves and fluorescent lights deep within the sea, surrounded by terrifying abyss. I love this game.
All those updates changed the calmest parts of the voyage from "Check supplies. Weld the airlock shut. Double-check the hull. Check the crew for possible contraband. We're all gonna die unless everybody does exactly as told." to "This place sure is nice, isn't it? It'll probably kill us at the first opportunity, but it's nice." The chaos, however, still goes: "THE CLOWN'S GOT C4, THERE'S A MOLOCH OUTSIDE, AND I'VE BEE-- *You try to scream, but no sound comes out."*
A perfect feeling to give off in a alien world. Though you will find horror in things like the husk parasite, the cold pressurized darkness, and so on, but you can also find the feeling of beauty and wonder even on a moon like Europa, a place that can sustain alien life underneath it's icy crust.
It's probably because the diving suit lockers don't appear to have any actual depth to them in the image, meaning it does quite literally look like a sticker that was stuck onto it.
@@aurnoradasati6896 Yeah that's the issue there, the artist shoulda used a bit of imagination to reshade the textures he got from the game so that it feels 3d.
ngl i think the old soundtracks fit more barotrauma, the news one are really, really fucking great and some are way better than the old ones, but old ones just scream barotrauma i cant feel the same with these
i used to be more sympathetic to this mentality, but ever since the biome update the game looks a lot more pretty, if not breathtaking, at times. There's generally a lot more to do now too so I feel like more expressive music is appropriate for a lot of the "soul" that's been surfacing with recent updates.
The art for all these videos are concept art from various sources including the supporter pack and the barotrauma website. I believe most of them are done by Anh Dinh.

Love how the picture just has those empty diving suit lockers, though it's hard to look at em as 3d instead of stickers somehow
I also like the supply box somewhat to the left of those lockers

@@hunormagyar1843 even if they didnt feel like doing that, just flipping the texture wouldve made it right

Research outposts, not the best but neither the worst place to upgrade your Submarine and buy supplies
i love these 3d art pieces
Nice to see the full image, unlike the way it is presented in the devblog on steam
For some reason I get the vaguest feeling of Outer Wilds
Something like the Ancient Glade?
thanks for making these!
Пока я слышу щёлканье хасков я спокоен
this goes hard
Nice
5:35 reminds me of the Made in Abyss OST
nice picture for the video art, where did you get it?

ya think that clicking noise in the song is supposed to represent the human husk clicking noise?
Bladerunner vibes, maybe
