100% agree. I've used barotrauma as a source for narrative essays in school because I've played the game enough to know the shenanigans that goes on which gives me a lot to work with. If I can easily make some good stories from barotrauma, a movie of the game would be so frickin' good. For anyone wondering, I've written (all in First Person): - A clown gets hired into a crew (the only reason he was hired at all was because the crew was desperate for more crewmembers) and sinks the sub into the abyss using explosives as they claim to hear The Honkmother tell them to. - A captain piloting a sub when it gets attacked. He locks himself in the helm and only leaves it once the only thing he can hear is water. He sees the mangled corpses of his crewmates and the wrecked state of the sub. He decides to remain in the sub and have the sub be the resting place for him, as it was for the rest of the crew. [All of this written on a logbook the captain had] - A captain and his crew getting supplies at an outpost where they are given an urgent mission to deliver medical supplies to an outpost, and the only way to arrive at the other outpost in time would be to go through the abyss. The captain discusses with the crew if they should take it as the risk of running into an abyss monster are high, and they decide to take the risk.
This song is awfully cathartic once you make it back to the Outpost in one piece. Your crewmates sign off for the night and you're just standing there in the first room with the flickering lights from the ceiling lamp and the vending machine. This is your life, from metal coffin to metal cage.
I love this game. It makes you feel patriotism for humanity. Especially when you unleash the power of the sun on abyssal horrors and forgotten alien gods.

Sounds like doomer music playing over a depressed sailor who barely survived a Mudraptor attack and is developing PTSD
Just got off a game where there wasn't 1, not 3, not even 5 but 10 griefers in one mission. Felt like the traitor game mode was on.

@@Dyno2999 It was fun for a while
This track is the reason i stopped listening to the music. Crafting in station and hearing nothing than that for 8 straight minutes was really annoying.
man you have no fucking taste, this song is great and you should feel bad about yourself

@@gothmfsalem let people not enjoy things
@@jonaszpawlakiewicz3091 okay but theres a difference between not liking something and being wrong. This guy stopped listening to the games music altogether over this one song. That's like leaving a movie theater immediately because you didn't like the song that played during the opening credits. This game has incredible music and I dont get how people can not appreciate it
@@gothmfsalem I took it as he stopped listening to this particular song, not disregarding the whole soundtrack
Best song in the game
