It was really sweet hearing Tim talk about Alex developing a really warm relationship with everyone he meets on the show then I remembered James Acaster lol
It's too bad there's no excuse to have Acaster back, because I'd love to see Alex include a special additional task for him in each envelope, "say hi to Alex"
That was a most enjoyable podcast. Ed consistently has an easy banter with all his guests. Tim gave us a wonderful look at his friend. He is easy with his praise of his fellow contestants, especially the venerable Frank Skinner.
I could honestly listen to Tim speak for days. For anyone that hasn't listened to his poetry programme on BBC Sounds, you should definitely give it a listen. That and No More Jockeys have been my saviour this lockdown.
@@onehiccup definitely worth a listen! It really comes into its own in the later series, essentially a Tim Key written and performed sitcom with Tom Basden and Katy Wix
Love Tim Key, one of my favourite contestants. in the episode they are discussing it was absolutly hilarious when Tim was trying to negotiate with money his placement for a task and then Frank chipping in that he would pay up right there if he got moved up. Also hilarious in the podcast when Tim is trying to tell Ed a story but his Alexa keeps interrupting
@@KyIieMinogue you know what I love about Nish? he goes in with everything he's got to anything he does. He was fun to listen to. The good thing about the podcast is the insight it provides to the show. I still believe Alex should co-host and Greg has to be there every now and then
50:20 I've only hugged Alex once .. in 2005 .. we hugged at each other and he said "let's never do that again" I'm someone who teaches Hugging 101 at hippy festivals (and Hugging 102 but that's only for 18+) I just want to swoop in and give him the right hug that lets him know it can be nice
When Adam Hill won the Perrier Award beating Alan Davies, he then went and put the award on the bedside table in the guest bedroom, when Alan came to stay at his house in Australia
When Tim was talking about running the London Marathon, Alex started to say something like "Not really…" Did the cheeky so-and-so cheat on the marathon as well?
Because TH-cam isn't the only place this podcast is heard. In fact, by the time the podcast goes up on TH-cam, it's already been out on places like Spotify, Apple Podcasts/iTunes and Castbox where episodes go up the Thursday before it goes on TH-cam.
You seriously don't even have to listen to it. The last three comments at least you've posted on this channel are all about how Richard Herring should host, on multiple different episodes. If you hate it so much why do you keep clicking?? Just to tell the channel you want Richard Herring to host? Get a life. Literally nothing is forcing you to engage with this kind of content
Tim key is the pinnacle of contestants in my mind he went hard on every task. Felt like he got 5 or disqualified lol

Alex - Hello James ....
James - it’s not part of the task
It's a joke, children.
Jamali Maddux would disagree with that sentiment.
i think they just ended up stuck in that joke.
Tim telling his Alexa to "stand down"..😂
That was a most enjoyable podcast. Ed consistently has an easy banter with all his guests. Tim gave us a wonderful look at his friend. He is easy with his praise of his fellow contestants, especially the venerable Frank Skinner.
The story of Tim, Josh, Frank and Alex in Cologne would honestly make a lovely film.
Too white for swlf hating whites

My faves were Jo Brand and Nish’s episodes 😂

Can you imagine how absolutely batshit it would've been to have all 7 of them go on a trip to Cologne
Nope- large numbers are always worse. Three (plus a cameo later on) is the perfect number.
“what have i done last year??” no more jockeys, which - without any exaggeration - kept me sane through lockdown
DITTO
No More Jockeys is, when you think about it, the best thing that happened in 2020.

Agreed. It was excellent.
This is exactly why podcasts exist! And the only one I don't want to miss.
"Would you like to start your free trial-"
"YES"
"NO!!"
Yes
20:21 Great visual there, of the trophy that we can't see.
Tim key is low-Key my favorite contestant and I'm very exited for this episode!
Tim is definitely in my top 3 taskmasters.
Key to start...
I need more of Alex's task notes. "Almost knocked over a four-year-old." "Menacing."
'Now where's James?' 😂😂
Starting a podcast with 10 minutes talking about professional jealousy - Are you sure Richard Herring shouldn’t host
It’s best to go to Spotify so you don’t have any ads instead of TH-cam
Isn’t it gonna be a bit weird when we get series 9 and Ed reviews his own performance
I'm especially looking forward to him asking himself questions about his own performance as if he's 2 people
@@shaine34 I really want David on the podcast on the one episode he actually wins

I hope they manage to get each contestant on at least once to discuss an episode in their series.
So 90s
I am always surprised when I listened to two minutes without an ad. :(
Task Consultant = turning pub night into business dinner
Absolutely massive fan of Taskmaster and anything Taskmaster related - but this is an obscene amount of ads for the length of the video, no?
Nope, no ads at all for real Gs
Well, this is a nice surprise
How many adverts can you squeeze into this!!!
By the sounds, ed and Tim could see each other, could you maybe see about recording it? Makes for a much better viewing experience on TH-cam
Next episode with Josh Widdicombe is now up on Castbox, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Sadly not Soundcloud or Stitcher.
I only know Tim from Taskmaster and he was absolutely incredible (cheat) but now I want to really want to know more! He's wonderful to listen to.
Have a look at " no more jockeys " . Its him , alex Horne and mark Watson and all the episodes are on TH-cam
Speaking of "cheat" is it me, or did they edit out part the bathtub incident? Or the watermelon one? Or both?
"Vaguely understandable height" is a lovely turn of phrase.
Milf isn't film backwards? It's mlif? Did anyone point that out in the studio?
Greg did, I think...
The number of commercials during this is insane.
*Typewriter sound* "It's height then meat."
When Adam Hill won the Perrier Award beating Alan Davies, he then went and put the award on the bedside table in the guest bedroom, when Alan came to stay at his house in Australia
I'm 99.9% sure it was Colin Lane. Don't think Hills ever won a Perrier, in fact. Us Ozzies are hard to distinguish, though., so fair play to ya.
47:58 Did Key just combine the phrases "hot pot" and "hodge podge"?
I don't mind it.
@@payasoartwork5906 So does literally every human that can speak.
Hotch potch is a variation of hodge podge. I imagine it's regional.
These are fantastic but 19 ads is a bit excessive isn't it?
I love tim key 💕
Sooooo many adverts!!! I’ll listen on Spotify.
Please fix this for the future. Xx
I installed an ad blocker specifically for this podcast.
Why isn't this on Stitcher?
When Tim was talking about running the London Marathon, Alex started to say something like "Not really…" Did the cheeky so-and-so cheat on the marathon as well?
Oh wow.
He just got a cab
Is this the same Tim Key who is EP on Death in Paradise Series 10?
Nah, just the perils of Common-fore-and surname-syndrome.
The pie task is probably my favorite task ever 😂😂😂
Stand down.... Stand down
I always fast forward the high five a 55yo because it is so cringe. I'm glad they don't do tasks like that anymore. I love the rest of the tasks!
Why are you always so secretive about the next guest? You are aware that his name is on the screen the entire time?

It's videos like this, with no less than 18 adbreaks on it, that leave no wonder as to why a majority of people use adblock or TH-cam vanced.
Tim's laugh makes me both happy and scared
