Does the TCL model QM8/QM850G and Qm7 use true 10 bit ? I saw your review on the u8n, I was shocked to learn that the tvs only 8bit. Because i play hard core gaming on pc, next gen series.x and ps5 i truly need 10bit color . Can you please also let me know if there's is a difference between the nits and local dimming depending on screen size? If so what are they . Thanks 😊.
Hi, for anyone. Is the QM7 mini-LED worth it compared to the QM8 mini-LEDs for 2023 or 2024? I'm trying to pick between the three models balancing size and price.
The picture is bright and colorful compared to other low priced TV's but there is still a big difference in video processing compared to nicer Sony models. The biggest issue however is the horrible customer service of TCL and their reliability. The warranty is fake. They do not honor any warranties and I have installed 28 TCL's from of various sizes a year ago and they have all failed and went to recycle.
In your opinion (or anyone who has experience with the QM7 tv in comments) I have the option for an open box “good condition” 65 inch A95L from Best Buy with some scratches and fingerpints (not major) on the screen but Best Buy turned it on for me and it doesn’t affect picture quality or performance while turned on and they’re giving $1,300 off full price….or for the same price I could get a QM7 85 inch brand new. Obviously A95L picture quality is way better but how decent is the QM7 in SDR cable? wondering if buying new and getting a 20 inches larger tv might outweigh the benefits of having a used A95L in somewhat dinged up condition?
TCLs don’t have a standard mode? With 80% of folks not changing modes and probably over 90% not tinkering with the settings, that would be a kamikaze move by TCL. The moment you switched to Movie even Brave got the dreaded tint which would make shows like Succession or Curb your Enthusiasm closer to The Last of Us.
@TechSteve ok thanks for clarify. If budget wasn't an issue, and you had a dark theatre room, and you wanted 85", would ypu say the LG g4 is the way to go? I understand the TCL is the best value for money but if you just wanted the absolute beat picture for dark room theatre's? Thanks man!

@jcg4350 ok.. I just got the c855, can't find any calibration settings online
@@mixmeister9985 TCL C855 is even better, enjoy. Concerning calibration Steve made a video on the C765, maybe it could help you.
Is it brighter than the 2023 Sony x93 l?

Any recommendations on a good soundbar/sub to pair with the QM7?
Maybe this one amzn.to/4fpm7KM
The sony will be more accurate
How do you set the tv for sports?
The thing about sports is your source, streaming gets you a better image and great motion. Because this is a 10 bit panel it looks great
I know this a late comment but does it get 4k 120hz for gaming?

Hello Steve
👋🏽
This or the Samsung q80d
TCLs don’t have a standard mode? With 80% of folks not changing modes and probably over 90% not tinkering with the settings, that would be a kamikaze move by TCL. The moment you switched to Movie even Brave got the dreaded tint which would make shows like Succession or Curb your Enthusiasm closer to The Last of Us.
How is the picture compared to the Sony X90L?
Are you affiliated with TCL?
No i’m a independent reviewer
@TechSteve ok thanks for clarify. If budget wasn't an issue, and you had a dark theatre room, and you wanted 85", would ypu say the LG g4 is the way to go? I understand the TCL is the best value for money but if you just wanted the absolute beat picture for dark room theatre's?
Thanks man!
@zman-ru3yf i prefer mini led, worry free
Who’s using 480p?
You will be surprised, people watch all over the world
