The Ali comparison is actually spot on... Ali had soooo much talent... but he took too much damage. Cam looked sooo efing good before covid... Cam was in the MVP race in NE. Smh... Should Cam except a backup role, he'd do just fine... He may even have another good to great year in him, should he get the shot
Them or the cardinals
ALWAYS WILL BE A CAM NEWTON FAN!! THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE. THAT PERSONALITY IS WHAT MAKES HIM #1. THE DUDE'S JUST #1. KEEP POUNDING.
I wish the Seattle Seahawks would give him a chance, they gave Geno Smith a chance. What's the worst thing that could happen? 🤷♂️
How bout the 49ers? If Garopolo leaves and Trey Lance is the starter we're not sure that he can hold the position as a starter in the NFL cuz he hasn't done it yet. Wouldn't it be nice to have Cam on that roster waiting in the wings if Lance doesn't work out? Maybe I'm missing something...
Because they are flat out idiots .
Not bad idea cam need come bck I still believe in him not over
I'm BAAAAACK...LOSE
FRFR
Cam, thank you for the memories.👍👊👏
And these effed up situations..
Even though he played for the Panthers, he still from the A. I wanna see Cam win man.
Cam’s favorite team is and still was the Falcons
Buddy from Alabama
@@brodyoutlaw55 Buddy went to Westlake, my high schools rival, and had some epic games against Eric Berry when he played QB/CB at my school Creekside. I know this. I seen it.
Thanks for everything Cam. Sadly injuries and age are catching up. I hope he finds a team that will start him and he finds recent success to retire from.
thanks for choking in a superbowl?
He's only 33.
Love Cam, but like Delhomme, his career was cut short by injuries. He doesn't have anything left in his shoulder. He can still run, but throwing is out of the question.
I live in Nc. Love Cam. But man he has been overthrowing receivers for years. All the passes are high. Its frustrating he could never figure out the accuracy because he is loved in Carolina
Well when we draft borderline tight ends as his main receivers can you blame him?
@@AceMiggy yes. He has extra blocking and doesnt have to lead speed. No excuses cams washed
@@AceMiggy uh yeah, it's his job to deliver an accurate ball. It's his fault.
You this Barnes the army soldier that served with Hall?
Funny that’s Bakers problem as well. Overthrowing wide open receivers
Man I love Cam I wish that man nothing but love and may God send him peace during this time.
Let’s call a spade a spade: The things that Lamar Jackson gets praised for everybody hated Cam Newton for doing that exact same thing.
The moral to the story is “ learn to be a quarterback “!! A spade to a spade
Are you talking about playstyle? Personality wise I feel they’re pretty different, I get they have some similarities playstyle wise but they run completely differently also maybe where they were drafted affected perception as well. People expect the most when you’re drafted no.1 as opposed to no.32
@@marckusduverger9776 I’m referring to how ppl hate mobile qbs. They are both mobile qbs. There are still ppl who want traditional qbs like Tom Brady.
First of all, who hates Cam Newton? He is liked more than most players. He did do things that were pretty annoying, like celebrating first downs in the first quarter with his superman schtick. He also made some amazing plays that no quarterback other than Cam could have made. When he didn't dive on that football in the superbowl was the moment he lost my support though. That was embarrassing.
@@gametime2473 there was quite a bit of hate on him when he was playing lights out in Carolina, I remember quite a few people having some nasty opinions on dude. remember the laptop thing?? I only do because it was mentioned anytime the dude was a new story anywhere
DAMN SHANNON, thats exactly what Cam said. He admits it was his fault. He wanted to play so bad he willingly played too early when he knew he wasn't ready
Love you always cam. Wish you never got injured. Qb1 for life.
That MVP season was amazing

He was a fantasy beast
@@coreywyatt6884 all I said was that he was amazing that season, the point of the past is to look back at it and that’s exactly what I did
@@Nonameeeee123 season was not amazing at all Cam literally quit on the team by diving on the ball

Wild how Cam has been done. It’s crazy how expectations differ for different QBs
How is that crazy? Different people get different expectations.
Dude has one sec every play to throw was impossible for him to do anything with Carolina look at his pats highlights he carried them they were the worst NFL team 2 plays away from playoffs
Never been the same since that Super Bowl.
I lost all my respect for cam Newton after he refused to dive for the football after he caused a fumble Warren Sapp was right about him
He was excellent in 2018, but injuries eventually derailed his season.
Naaah a few seasons after that he was headed back to the top of the mountain but that injury caught up with him
He was pretty good in 2017 but 2018 and since has been downhill
He also went vegan after that Super Bowl. Von knocked the meat out of him.
Skip. really got Cam right, i would love to see Cam come back strong..
Cam's mechanics were never right. Always throwing off his back foot or flat footed. Relied on his cannon arm (and it was a cannon, especially when he stepped into throws) too much. Since the shoulder surgery, his bad mechanics have come back to haunt him. Everything under Rivera post surgery was either safe short passes, or longer throws that were often high/overthrown. Rivera played to his strengths, while hiding his weaknesses, but after the surgery, there was no where for either to hide. With that said, thank you for all of the memories, Cam. Keep Pounding!!
His mechanics are perfect, he's never been film IQ elite from the pocket....sure he's shown flashes of greatness on paper, but sustaining that skillset? Hey how many Brees, Mannings and Brady's out there? Not many, if any. That's why the goats always took over deep playoff runs, compared to the rest, where Cam sits
@@asanitationstompout8473 cant see it that way, he was the best qb Carolina ever had. Took us to the superbowl. Problem is after that shoulder injury he was never the same.
Changed and fixed his form, throwing motion, and foot work in 2017
Been saying this for years
He’s a crybaby and a diva and he never won anything he was scared to get a fumble in the Super Bowl, No heart no balls
love and respect cams game but i’m tired of the 2015 broncos defense not being brought up among the other great defenses all time. they were on the level if not better than some defenses that people commonly say
i think the panthers where better that year
@@kobe4lyfe135 no That Broncos Defense is recognized as one of the greatest defenses ever. The Beincos defense had to carry Peyton Mannings corpse to the super bowl. They also beat Tom Brady to get to the Super Bowl

@@i_chosen_one_ips432 but that’s common the panthers usually have a better defense than offense but but sides where clicking that year i remember

If I’m Cam Newton I’d sign with the 49ers, the scheme and talent he could really succeed in if tray lance gets benched or hurt.

And I'm a Rams fan too 😆😆😆😆
Niners shoulda signed him years ago too
I’ve said same thing , treys gonna get hurt
No.
But do the 49ers want him??? That's an important detail
More than likely, Cam will be riding backup for a while until he gets sick of it and retires.
Barring playing in a blowout or due to 1st string injury, you probably won't see him playing again.
If I were him I'd swallow my pride and agree to a backup job and get paid . I know hes already set for life but trust me Cam you still need a job to keep you occupied in this life or else youll get bored or party yourself into an early grave.
@@Hater20X hes not even good enough as a back up.
@@Kanendd if you believe he’s not good enough for a backup you’re delusional and know nothing about football.
2015 Cam was the greatest QB season of all time. Change my mind.
Cam did so much good with the panthers 👏🏿
Cam is top 29 in the league. Hes got a shot.💪
As a Cam fan, I'm at peace with it.
He's had a career with a lot of records.
He got ran out of the league.
The effort to run him out the league began in late 2015.
The cheapshots, the no calls, the injuries. It added up.
Cam still has something in the tank, but he wont ever get a fair shake.
😂😂😂😂
Cam doesn't have starting potential anymore... Cam now is a good backup I love Cam Big fan but he cannot lead a team anymore... Cam is much older and injuries and surgeries have hurt him big time... fact's Cam Newton needs to retire from football because when team's are not calling you and the owners of other teams have watched rookies beat you out and you got benched and replaced by PJ walker and XFL QB it breaks my heart to see that and that should be a wake up call for him to retire... I'm a big Carolina Panther fan and I appreciate everything he has done for us he took us to another super bowl great year almost went undefeated... He will always be cam Superman Newton in my eyes as a Carolina panther...but facts he is done as a starter in the NFL.... I see a good run as a good backup on a good team...
Wish the Cowboys get him to backup Dak that would be a good deal in my opinion
What can he teach dak
I’m saying, I personally think it would elevate Dak to be better bc of the simple fact it’s Cam Newton. Plus, CM would be better backup than who we have now
Lol he'd start over dak.
I think he'd start over Dak, Baker would be an upgrade IMHO
nah cams washed out
He's openly taken responsibility for putting himself in messed up situations.
He said he would play back-up QB. What is the argument here?
They're debating if his career is officially over aka retire.
@@anthonyfreeman1422 I mean yeah retire but I think this is really the mike Vick argument, when he went to Pittsburg. His time as a starter is over. Could he play the journeyman role? They debated that a little bit but moreover the conversation is “do you believe cam KNOWS he’s always gonna be the 2nd or 3rd guy on a depth chart no matter where he goes”.
Saying you were in a messed up situation is the opposite of taking responsibility. He blamed the team around him instead of taking accountability for his poor play
@@discreet6951 Vick still had football left.
Yeah taking responsibility by throwing teams under the bus lmao
Love me some Cam- wishing him success in whatever his future holds.
Big Ben is really the only QB that took a lot of hits and played for a long time but it was different than Cam
He didn't take the kind of hits Cam took, Cam would get hit in air while diving.
My guy. What (year) did you start watching football?
Elway
No comparison between Ben and cam. Ben's a first ballot hall of famer, cam was awesome but not on the level of Roethlisberger.imo
Elway took a ton of hits. So did ben. cam took the worst ones though but not for the same amount of time.
Ain't nothing wrong with being a backup and earning your job, Mike Vick had to, Cam would be a good backup
I been following Cam since his Florida college days. I cant wait to see him back on the field, I hope he gets there.
It ain’t happening
Someone should sign him and use him as a goal line rusher
I do love that everyone sees how special Cam Newton is & hopefully nobody forgets just how good Cam really was
A sub par passer. When his legs went so did his career
Cam had 3 good years. That was it. Nothing special about that.

Bring him to Detroit, with 17 games almost all of these teams QB gets banged up
His time as a starting QB is over. But he can still be used as a utility QB in red zone situations.
An overrated Qb who never lived up to his potential. A severe lack of maturity and work ethic hurt him.
Not worth the distraction it brings to your starter
Like a black Tim Tebow 😂😂😂
@@williamwatsoniii3895 Not even close is cam newton was as bad as Tim Tebow he would’ve been out the league in 2015
@@masoncharles4795 So we're just going to ignore the fact that the majority of his career his O line was trash?
If I were cam id look into Cleveland with the whole watson situation. He could compete with brissett for the starting gig or take over at some point during the season.
Cam Newton will be with another team he still can play
Until Cam, himself, says that he is retiring from football, I will always hold onto the hope that this man will land in a decent situation and make the best of it. I will pull for any team that signs Cam, even over my team (who did him dirty, the way they pushed him out). This Tepper/Rhule chaos is killing my love for this franchise. Feels like Big Scott Fitty is the only thing keeping us pounding anymore. Him and DJ. God bless DJ Moore.
He sucks. Has been for a while now.
He’s gonna end up in Cleveland.
Cam still has it in him to be a top 10 QB. Carolina has a retooled OL, the right move would have been resigning Cam and giving him a full training camp. It would have been night and day. Baker ain’t it.
Cam is gonna end up in Cleveland. Mark my words.
Said same thing!
Cam was never the same after Von Miller in SB50
They should’ve just kept him this whole time and rebuild around him, then if by now he was doing bad just let him go and start with a new quarterback

Cam's career as a starting qb is over. It's been over for a few years, but he can't get it through his mind that he's lost that it factor. He's just not the same guy that got the mvp and got to that superbowl appearance.
If anybody can give Cameron Newton a message please tell him, please tell him, he can be the greatest ever... HE can be the greatest ever I want this man to take the team he's destined to be on to a championship

I think folks criticized Cam cause he was a bad sport when he lost, especially in the super bowl. People don’t hate on Burrow cause while he has a big confidence in himself, he doesn’t pout when he loses.
Nailed it
He was 25. It wasn’t a good look but he was passionate and obviously cared.
Burrow was a Cinderella story. He wasn’t expected to win. The panthers were favored. Y’all always want to make comparisons and they don’t really fit.
@@MoneyMan6969 I mean that really doesn’t change much. You can easily be a sore loser whether you’re favored or not

Cam Newton should be in the NFL. Period.
Is he willing to be a backup? Then, yes.
Cam put carolina on the map, and I belive he gets another chance, at least I hope so.
Maybe Cam get some where n backs up and becomes a coaching in a franchise this man has football talent to Cam Newton your football journey can be great again
Lol flacco would've dove on that fumble in a SB. I liked Newton but he can keep his "aura"
Cam had a long college career and it caught up to him. Cam has been in some really big games where he was the best player every single time we know how it goes in football 🏈 with that being the case
Cam’s downfall was because of refs allowing him to be targeted and floored on sidelines with no repercussions to the defenders who got away with horrible late hits.
Cam only played ONE year of SEC ball. Before that it was JUCO and Tebows backup at Florida. His college career wasn’t that long.
Join ESPN/Fox as an analyst.
I'm surprised that Cam Newton was released by the Carolina Panthers in the spring of 2022, personally.
I was happy to see him return to the Carolina Panthers during the 2021-2022 NFL season, however & I thought things were going to turn around for the better & looking at things in hindsight, we all know what happened, there...
He got a training camp what more could you ask for??? Skip are you F-ing serious?! Go start for an nfl team as QB signing late and then play in just a training camp wth are you talking about
I truly wished Cam would've taken his NFL career seriously to the point he progressed from yr to yr! The knock on him was his accuracy & it still is, now his arm strength has diminished, that's the word! All the celebrations & end zone stuff instead of his work ethics & working on shortcomings hurt him.
No he still has a good arm it’s because somewhere in 2018 he injured his shoulder he got surgeries and it messed up his accuracy that wasn’t that good in the first place
@@zay_gzs5635 Oh it's the surgery, not his work ethics & dedication, gotcha 🥱🤭! His antics now outweigh his talent.....that's why he isn't playing!!
@@ReverendSam1 He got surgery to fix his shoulder his mechanics weren’t always good and the surgery just kind of messed things up you don’t see his videos and clips of him working hard I’m pretty sure Drew Brees worked hard and he still fell off and control past 10 yards
@@zay_gzs5635 I never held Brees in high regard, just liked how he made San Diego regret choosing Rivers over him. Cam could have worked on his shortcomings but I truly believed he thought his athletic abilities wouldn't leave.
His shoulder is hanging on by a thread
I would hate to see such a box office all time draw fade out like this but hey you never know what could happen…regardless of what happens there aren’t too many players in the history of the game that can make game day as exciting to watch as Cam did
He’s been fading for years he’s trash, Plus his attitude really sucks really turns a lot of people off
The Seahawks shouldn’t over look Cam Newton though I do think him doing interviews and whatever else he does on his channel is a bad look for him it looks like he’s prepared for it to be over and people are probably going to look at him like that
His interviews aren’t even bad he’s just speaking the truth maybe because it isn’t politically correct and it doesn’t pander to women And let’s be honest NFL owners probably won’t care

Cam should sign with Detroit.
You might have to throw the ball more than 10 yards, even in Detroit 🤷♂️
Tbh my Lions need a backup I don't like Blough or Boyle backing up Goff. I wouldn't mind him behind Goff.
I will NEVER understand why Shannon thinks he needs to shout. It's so obnoxious. Seriously, he's talking about Fitzmagic's & McCown's careers as backups and he's straight up screaming across the table at Skip.
Somebody will sign him! He brings out fans and that sells tickets!
Honestly, say what you want about Cam but other than Steve Smith he never had any good receivers! His offense was strictly based on his running, throwing and hoping his defense hold up. I can't think of any quarterback other that Tom Brady in New England who had to try to win without decent wide receivers. However Tom had a great coach and great defenses to help him win.
Exactly!!!
I will continue to tell stories of 2015 Cam Newton he was so special
Right off the top of my head, the giants and seattle could use Cam.
As a Giants fan naw we will pass on Cam

No, definiitelyt… I think he would be an awesome mentor for a guy like Justin Fields in Chicago.
I'll take him for our back up
The bears don't take washed players just for morale though. They released Urlacher and he had to retire in free agency. And that's a Chicago legend were talking about. Cam isn't going to chi.
@@SuperSonic_868 I mean...I would take Cam any day over a guy like Trevor Simeon. I think you could get Cam for something like a 5 mil base salary with a mil bonus for any game he would start if Justin Fields gets injured.
The facts these people really don’t think he can even be a back up QB is crazy to me!
I dont think the panthers were really an option for cam. The panthers said he'd have to sign a minimum backup type of deal. I think they would've cut him at the end of camp bc they were going after Mayfield locked into darnold for 18 mill guaranteed and they just drafted corral.
Cam could also easily get a backup position if he wants it. Look at mariota trubisky tyrod Fitzpatrick etc eventually got starter chances down the road. I think he'd be a good fit with 49ers ravens eagles broncos raiders or patriots (he knew offense better last summer and belichick loves the guy. He only cut him because of vaccination thing and mac needed space to win over the locker room as a rookie qb). Get some preseason/4th quarter blowout film on tape and hope for a starting job in 2023.
Cam problem is that he never developed into a better passing QB and he relied on his legs too much
Topics are so much better when they don't involve Brady/Cowboys/Baker lol
And LeBron James Too.
When you're a QB that relies on mobility and you have had injuries I don't see you having a long career. Lamar Jackson I hope develops into a better QB throwing the football instead of relying on his speed.
It will not happen
I think Cam would be a great starter for the XFL, he’s still good enough to be a decent QB in that league and his big personality would fit in well for the entertainment they’re trying to create
He could. But he wants to be in the NFL.. Him as a starter is always possible because players get injured. That's just a fact.
Your right I could see that it would be good for ratings if the xfl can get some names like cam and dez Bryant for example that would be huge cam would dominate in a semi pro league in my opinion
Cam would be incredible in the XFL
Cam, his personality is fine! It’s no bigger than the kind Skip Bayless has!
Cam never got hurt running! He got hurt in the pocket behind historically bad lines.
Cam to the falcons confirmed. Go as a backup then start 2023 season im calling it!!!! 🤞🏾🤞🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cam wants to win, why would he go to the worst team in the league?
He's better than just about every starting QB. I'd only take Wentz and Rodgers over him.
HAHAHAHAHA
Bro…
Nah it’s over cam ✌🏾
Arizona should sign him and run that wildcat
Unc can you please stop calling skip names every 9 sec😂😂
Everyone took the lost with humility, Cam was mad at the media wasn't kissing his feet anymore, no one is stopping you from show boating, back it and win.
When was this?
He is still better than #20-32 and definitely better than everyone that’s on the bench so yea he should be at someone’s mini camp but he has to cut that price tag down though some reward point discounts or something Cam!!
Cam is worth the money. Cam got short changed with his money because Bill Belichick, don’t want to pay nobody, their money, fairly! He shortened others, bad, out their money with inflated contracts and incentives u never get. Cam need all his money
Fully guaranteed! No trade off. Bill paid Mac Jones, a Rookie, more, and guaranteed, and Cam saved Bill Belichick after Brady Who won another Super Bowl with Buccaneers!
Cam is worth it and more!
He should just accept being a backup injuries are so rampant in the NFL he will have a chance to prove himself again
Just swallow your pride cam
He never got that chance
Cams career has been over since he met Von in the Superbowl
Being passionate about your opinions and/or beliefs is one thing ~ yelling at each other like unruly school children is quite another.
Cam's never been the same after he lost to the Broncos in SB50. They broke his body and his spirit. He played them again right after the SB in week one, they were still laying the hits on him.
That is facts.
Big facts
He should go to the Steelers
All that size and height give it to Russell Wilson I can only imagine if Russell Wilson was blessed with that size and height and his smarts and accuracy at the position of quarterback.
Browns should pick up cam since Watson suspended
I like this
Seahawks should give him a shot better than geno or lock
