Great Video, thanks. The Duke of Tone is the perfect overdrive pedal for me! I use 2 Duke of Tone pedals, one for crunch sounds, the other for lead sounds. Both on, the sun doesn't go down anymore! I use the boost setting for top dynamics and transparency on both Duke of Tone pedals! ( Strat.with Kinman 59 Pickups, Mod. Boss GE 7, Cali 76 Compact Deluxe, 2x MXR Duke of Tone, etc. )
Actually that's not true. If you read the description, Sasha is using the Ibanez Power Lead to great effect! Duke is just here for promo. Yarharhar. TL:DR; Sasha just sounds fabulous with anything!
Great demo! Great tone with that strat. I just got mine and the best part is how it cleans up when rolling off the guitar volume remaining clear. Sounds good with strat, PRS. And LP. For a boost on solos I use a EP Boost.
I'd literally do ANYTHING to be able to play like you! It must be so amazing to just be able to grab a guitar and play like that whenever you want. I try to be inspired by your playing instead of being jealous, but good lord I'm jelly :D I always watch your videos, even when I don't care about the gear. Your playing is sooo tasteful! You got that Mayeresque touch :)
@@tubingforever I also happen to have very severe ADHD and know just how difficult discipline and routines can be. It's a slow, but gradual process. The key is to try to not get discouraged, it will take a while, but in due time it will happen.
Hey man, great job! I'm hoping you can answer a question. I run a cheap wish klon clone into a tube screamer. But when I'm just using the clone for some rhythm crunch, I seem to lose the character of my strat(core John Mayer) and I can't roll the volume back to clean it up. I realize you get what you pay for,so I'm looking to upgrade. Is this pedal dynamic enough for me to roll back and still get good tone?

I live in America and preorder from Sweetwater and my sales rep was telling me that the Duke has already sold out on its preorder and wont be available again until sometime 2023. Lol. Crazy how much demand there is for the KoT, PoT, and DoT. Cant wait to hear it for myself, but also stack it with the Blues Breaker side of the Kasleder Fx Toxic Twins. Definitely going to get the KoT too when my name comes up. Didnt get on the list until December 2021, so i have like 4 years to wait still since im pretty sure they are now fulfilling orders for February 2018. Sasha u should really check out the Kasleder Fx Toxic Twins. I think u would love it. Its fantastic. Especially its response to picking dynamics. Definitely in the same level as the KoT. Kasleder's Vintage King Fuzz is amazing as well and i think the fuzz whisperer himself would really enjoy it.

I've had the Prince of Tone for 1-2 months now and yeah there is just a certain "quality" tone to it. This MXR Duke sounds pretty great also. Might have something to do with your play ! Ha. Pedal also sounds good on Distortion and Boost setting... But what you did play was great.. 😊 I prefer the boost..

Those really are some grade A Strat overdrive tones. I've yet to find anything to best my Morning Glory, but this seems like it might be a contender.
