I dig the Edge setting and the Distortion & Chorus combination. Sounds like Randy Rhodes man! Also, that sweater is the emanation of coziness hahaha! 😅
Crikey, you brought back some memories with this,i used one on the Strangeways album Native Sons on the intro of a track called Face to Face..........what was i thinking :)
Thanks for the demo. Finally Dunlop does something since buying the rights from SR&D decades ago. Dunlop's Guitar Ace is utter garbage. I'm happy to see this pedal undercuts the $600 being asked for original Rockman's. I'm a little bummed Dunlop didn't integrate an echo effect. But, I'm feeling the need to pull the trigger on ordering one.
@SashaIvantic Sweet! Thankyou so much for hooking it up that way. You're one of the only ones I've seen yet playing it this way out of all the videos I've watched.
I had one and “lost” it. Looked at the used market ☠️. Pre ordered my replacement which i believe is a huge improvement over original unit, with pedal form and input sliders. You would be shocked at how many bands used them live btw. They have a thing that just works, in a mix as well as solo. Is it perfect? No but it’s it’s own thing, another voice to sit beside your other amps
It's not like the original...you need an amp or an interface to use it.The original one you could just use headphones and play.Disappointing ....especially the price
This isn’t meant to emulate the cheap headphone amp. It’s meant to emulate the rock man used to record the later Boston albums and some of the other hits.
OK...I WAS DISAPPOINTED ALSO BUT STARTED THINKING AND IT'S PRETTY SIMPLE: 1) TAKE THE BACKPLATE OFF THE PEDAL. 2) THERE'S A SMALL SWITCH TO THE RIGHT SIDE. SLIDE IT TO STEREO. 3) PUT THE BACK PANEL BACK ON. 4) PLUG IN YOUR STEREO HEADPHONES... IT'S PRETTY QUIET...BUT I COULD TELL IT WAS THERE. THE REMEDY WAS TO PUT A CLEAN BOOST IN FRONT OF THE ROCKMAN. IN MY INSTANCE IT'S A MXR TEN BAND EQ. GAIN ZERO, ALL FREQ"S AT ZERO, AND VOLUME AT +12dB BOOST. THEN YOU'LL BE ABLE FOR THAT GLORIOUS ROCKMAN SOUND IN STEREO. I HAVE BIGGER PLANS FOR IT IN THE FUTURE.
How can you have gotten one at Guitar Center when these were just released at the Namm show on this week and the release date on it is January 23rd. 2025. Sweetwater don't even have them in yet and i highly doubt that guitar center has them in yet and i placed my order yesterday on the 23rd through Sweetwater! And your post was 14 hours ago so we all know this is a lie.
Nog steeds die mooie touch van je... te gek hoor!
Pedaal is ook leuk, de heerlijke jaren 80
Soso lobi
Great playing Sasha! Really love the sounds of this pedal!
Thank you for your excellent review and demo of this really cool device! Still have my original Rockman, but will be buying this latest MXR version!
Thanks for the video! you are the first guy I've seen playing it through the amp! sounds great!!
Really?? I figured most people would use it like that anyway
Awesome! Ahh the memories that sound brings back. Great demo Sasha, always top notch content ❤️
I like the intro riff... very nice! Great demo... thanks
First realistic review I’ve seen yet. I’ve watched several.
You’ve earned my subscription. PS. Please comment on the interface.

Thanks so much, that means a lot! I use an Apollo x4
Wonderful playing, yet again. Just Beautiful.
Best review I've seen (heard?) on this new pedal. Fantastic playing!
Thanks so much man!
Beautiful playing man 👌
Thanks Joe!
Best demo of this pedal yet. Well done! (or damn you for giving me G.A.S. lol!)

You are a true dedicated musician mr Ian !I doubt that another 80’s guitar player will comment on a video about guitar gear!cheers from a Greek fan!
Hahahah this is so awesome! I just listened to the track and you were right in using that. Fantastic tone!! That album is going on repeat btw ❤️
@@SashaIvantic Thanks man.❤

Man I went right Amazon to check it out. Don't know how I missed this back years ago. Tasty.

Are you plugged into the front end of your guitar amp or into the effects loop of your amp? Sounds great.
Front end!

Love that sound! I’m gonna buy one. I still have my original x100 that I bought in 1989!
So everyone who is reviewing this device had the old verion "back in the day"?
You weren’t cool if you didn’t have one

OR NEW SOMEONE THAT DID.
Is that reverb/delay sound coming from the pedal?
There’s reverb from the amp and TAE in the first bit

@@logandudley2552please see comment I left below. Don't give up yet.
Tried one today. The cleans are way to compressed. Just wasn't impressed. took it back to G.C. Disappointing because I was pretty geeked about this.

Just imagine if you turned the input gain down on the cleans so there wouldn’t be much compression. What a thought right (sarcasm)
