Can't second this enough. Percival Ulysses Cox is an insanely charismatic enigma that we all found ourselves gravitating towards. What a wonderfully complex character. It takes an enormous amount of talent to put a character like that to life. It's either that or Cox is a very real side of John McGinley, which is also a win in my book.

Interesting aside. He was in the first season, but we very minor in comparison to the rest of the series. The actors and directors found him so funny and witty off camera, that they just needed to make him a bigger part of the show. And many of his great lines were improv.

@IfWhiningAtProblemsWorks, WhyDoCorporationsLobby? Copeland can be a douche. Actually, he's USUALLY a douche in most interviews. But he did write "Behind My Camel" that won a grammy in 1982. Agreed, not a hit, but he got some validation from that that I'm sure Sting had to hear about endlessly until he(Sting) ended the band a couple years later. Copeland is a damned good drummer/percussionist, though, and a very well accomplished artist in general. But yeah, mostly douchey lol. He really thought that the Police was HIS band.........but watching he and Sting fucking with each other throughout the duration of the band's existence was hilarious, though.
Edit: And yeah, Lawrence is equally douchey lol.

I also love that J.D. isn't written like most sitcom characters in the sense that he isn't the perfect, funny guy who's always above it. The writing is great at making it known that even if you're a wholly good person, people doing bad things can just happen. That's very human.

@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 The director is usually THE management. This is just the wrong venue for his talking. I actually like watching the emmy interviews with management more than I do actors, but like I said, wrong venue here for it.
