Eat Em & Smile, Passion & Warfare, and Sex & Religion. Only Vai records worth a damn in my opinion. Modern Primitive isn’t bad but mostly because it’s older material.
Always fantasied how one of the Sex & Religion songs would sound with Devin's current voice and I'm not disappointed! Thank you so much for sharing this. Very unique performance right here.
It's just two rock dudes yet I've got goosebumps and tears. Sex and Religion introduced so many of us to Devin and somehow it's all come back together. Devin is on another level like Steve is. If I could clear both of their schedules and commission Dev to sing on more Steve tunes or low and behold they'd write together oh man the possibilities!
its really great they got together and played this material again.. would be awesome to see them do something more, an album and a tour or just perform Sex and Religion live for Blu Ray.
Love this and love the album.. As good today as it was back when and still gets played loads :) Always hoped they'd do another outing together and still do. There are no saviours and there are no kings, the power lies in your hands. So you be fire, the light without heat.
Thanks for sharing, that's so awesome to hear! I didn't think that this would ever happen. Not quite as frantic, vocally, as the original, but really awesome nonetheless.
Wow, never thought this would happen! Only makes me wish for me...they truly are the best at what they do. I know it will probably only stay at this one-off performance but one can only imagine what sort of material they would come up with nowadays.
Holy crap, when I heard this originally I thought it was Kip Winger singing. I had no idea this was Devin Townsend. He sounds so much like Kip on this.
Best record Vai ever did.
Aris Alamanos - Unquestionably.

Agreed
Amaaaaazing record!!!!
And,
Down deep into the pain is a crazy song!

He was the original singer even in the 93 album.
Its amazing he still sounds like that!
I grew up listening to this. Great song.
Do a tour and they will come. Man, wow, for sure. I was there for the first S&R tour and if a second came about for sure.

Hearing Dev sing this really shows how much more operatic his voice is now. Less pure aggression and much more control and power.
He sounds the same as he always has. It's all in the way he chooses to use it.
In the record he sings the higher registers but this one is still killer.
On the album he shrieked albeit in high tune! :)

WOWWWW!!!!! Vai - Sex & Religion! Best Fucking album of this planet! Period.
still my bleading hearth they should play!!!
Amazing!!! Would be amazing to witness this live even once! So jealous!
Love this and love the album.. As good today as it was back when and still gets played loads :)

Sex and Religion is still Steve’s best guitar tone
Hairs standing up on my neck !. Didn't think that they would perform again together in the here and now. Brilliant !.
Goddamn he sounds amazing! Love that album
Holy f&&k!!! That was amazing! One of my favorite albums from my youth and they still sound great after all these years apart
Thanks for sharing, that's so awesome to hear! I didn't think that this would ever happen. Not quite as frantic, vocally, as the original, but really awesome nonetheless.
He has one of the most amazing voices in metal
Thank you so much for putting this up.

thank you!!
His voice aged like fine wine
Nailed it! How about the rest of the album sometime?
Bring on a full tour!
thx man...
perfect, wish I was there!
Devin had the lyrics for this on his phone on the mic stand, which was kinda funny.
Nixe to see them playing songs from Sex & Religion once again together!
He's got it right (Devin) this time, and not way back in the 90's.
increible...!!!!
Sounds like dad rock with epic musicians... love it! Wait? Am I dad?
Devin Townsend is Insane !
Damn, this is amazing! Wish they would do one more album and do a "Sex & Religion" Tour...too bad not many people like the album. :(
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!!!!!
Damn, Townsend sounds very good.
This is !^#(^#(^ ............ Unreal.. So SO awesome..
Steve and Devin need to make SAR2.
Dev sounds great as always. did they do anymore, or just this one song?
Holy crap, when I heard this originally I thought it was Kip Winger singing. I had no idea this was Devin Townsend. He sounds so much like Kip on this.
Steve played quite a few bum notes! This was amazing though. Never thought I'd see it recreated.
Fuck yeah Dev! \m/
what a ripping song wickked solo
