Great info man. Really appreciate it. Being in engineering, I tend to be analytical, but want info that is clearly presented, applicable, and beneficial to the subject. Nice job
Some great help here, thanks! On the power management knob - as well as the MSATR_ENG_PWRMGT_1 and MSATR_ENG_PWRMGT_2 lvars, I found it a good idea to also include MSATR_ENGINE_KNOB_PWRMGT_OUTER otherwise they all have different values and it caused a couple of issues for me in the sim
Do you happen to know wich axis type is needes to configure a normal (warthog) throttle for the atr? The standard non reverser axis is not recognized by the atr
Hi , i have a problem regarding the throttle. there is no smooth transition between stops , when i move my throttle it goes from idle to full ı cant stop between them. i did exactly what you have showed in the video but couldn't find any solution. I haven't delete any axis in the msfs settings was keeping the default just fyi. Do you have any suggestion ? Thank you
@@LesOReilly do ı have to only delete tca engine throttle axis in the sim? i also tried that. its not working smoothly. everything was working properly with fly by wire without deleting axis in the sim. Do you think deleting axis in the sim will solve my problem for atr?
I would have no idea.. Mine have always worked since day 1 .. use programing mode like in the video.. so that when you move to a detent it would switch to the virtual button.. If that does not work then go to windows game controllers and see if they show in it.. if not then contact Thrustmaster.
Hi, yep! that was it. I checked a couple of minutes ago and renewed it. Now it works 😅, thank you very much for your effort, and especially for your great tutorials and support! …outstanding!
@@LesOReilly Thanks for the reply les.. i already searched for the multi panel for ATR but nothing is very detailed i think it is the same what ive tried without display and no button lights i dunno where or what i missed im getting hard time about displaying and ligthing… 😁 anyway just if u have time i can wait to follow how u do it.. tnx a lot.
I had already popped it out and it was on my other monitor. Data and Event monitors are under the + menu on the Left.. you can "undock" them so you can still use the interface while running them
Hi! Great tutorial!, however reversers at not going fully back using this setup. See in the ATR pad that positions for throttle are -4096 on full reverse when using the throttles all way back. If you manually set the throttles to full reverse with the mouse, PAD shows -16384, Any solution?
You can replace the Standard Axis with two implementations of the Custom Axis.. That way you can set 0 to 16384 or the Top side and then do 0 to -16383 on the Bottom Side of the TCA Axis.
@@LesOReilly HI again!. Thx a lot!. Works better now, but one issue: Throttles are set this way in the ATR: Max Reverse: -16383 Idle: -8192 Max Throttle: 16383 I edited the rescaled values setting -8192 instead of 0.. works perfect :)

It's a decent plane .. it's going to be the Level of the AS CRJs... So the MJC Q400 will be more along the lines of what it was like -- PMDG and will probably be priced accordingly... it will do just fine :)
Thanks I hope it helps with the finding of Vars.. I will try to get another one out before I go away next week. probably do it based on the Midi XTouch since I have not done one in a while :) and show how to find stuff
Going to try this tonight... you might have single handedly solved every issue I have with this mix of a/c and hardware.
I still like this plane .. it has gotten better with updates

Yes those were updates added after the video in one of the snippet updates.
Watched all the way through….subscribed….liked the video….and made a comment.
Just trying to do my part 😁
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks, great as always, it makes life much easier
cool hope it works for you.
Brilliant! Thank you Les.
Thanks for dropping a comment!
Great guide as always - do you consider creating similar but for Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo?
Second this! Pretty please.
Eventually if I have time before I leave next week for a trip...
Oh yes please when you have the time!
Thanks Les

You need the EX1 axis … so you will need to do it as a custom axis and then select the ex1 axis in it.
thank you!!!
Hope it helps..

You can not keep axis in the sim and in Spad.

If I set up my throttle levers this way should Inot set them up in MSFS controls?
If you set them up in Spad you don’t have anything mapped in MSFS controls. You don’t double bind. One place or the other.
Hi, I do not know why, but I cannot find the snippet, even if I type 8309 or your name, it will not show up?!?! …any ideas? Thanks:-)

You calibrate the ATR in the EFB after you setup your spad throttle.
What about the Logitech multi panel? It seems to not work atm
yeah you will need to program that...

My throttles don't match each other
Calibrate them.. you need to do your own settings for the ranges..
