I grew up in a neighborhood we’re there was doctors,lawyers, lots of money and then there’s me. 1779 Ford F-250 4X4 and a big block with open headers. My parents phone was ringing off the hook , LOL
I can't imagine how loud it really is. Just a Resonator and Muffler delete on the 5.0 makes it LOUD AS HELL!

Been checking you guy's channel out for awhile, you guys have some great content. My wife has a 99 2V we've owned since new and I am really tempted to do this swap, just concerned of all the little issues that I've heard haven't been figured out, but after seeing that dakota gauge set up working, and watching the rpm and speedometer work, I am really wanting to do it. Wish i lived closer to you guys id dropped the keys off today! Great job!

Thank you for doing this! I bought my 2000 GT brand new now has 36k miles. It has been tough to justify keeping an underpowered 2V compared to newer Mustangs until now. I can't wait to do this to mine!

@@erecklessz7048 I don't know where you get your info from, but you don't have to build a modular to take boost. Essentially all you need to do to the engine is gap the rings properly. Buy a terminator x system, build a good fuel system to run e85, get a proper turbo system made, and get a great tune. You can have so much more power for the money than a coyote swap. It's not 2008 anymore, it's only going to blow up if your tune is bad or you messed up.
A coyote swap is cool, but let's be realistic here.

@@FoxcastMedia I'd do one but my state is really strict on emissions. Car would have to be plugged into a computer to read readiness monitors. I don't think the stand alone pcm's have any monitors, correct me if I'm wrong

@@shanebatten6473 for everything? Transmission, engine, fuel system, gauges, headers, exhaust... when i say everything, i mean everything, im well aware of the nickles and dimes you dont think of that double ur projects cost
narmale yeah used f150 engine, stock 5 spd, fuel pump with corvette filter/regulator, stock gauges, etc. they have a video of price breakdown

I’m just waiting to see a coyote swap into a gm. Said it before and he has answered and said when they have funds. I can’t wait for a build with a ford heart in a gm. So many of our beautiful foxes and fords were ruined with LS swaps. Now i found a person that coyote swaps and I wanna see the Chevy guys when a better power plant is put in one of there cars. Don’t get me wrong I love all American muscle but hate how many fords end up with Chevy engine so the other way will be awesome

@@ranware2779, seriously? The LS is the best engine package right now, lighter weight, smaller footprint, more power and you get it sooner in the RPM band. There is ZERO reason to ever think about putting a fat, over priced, lower HP Coyote engine in a vehicle that already has a LS.

I think swapping the V2 4.6L for a 5.0 it comes to how much will it co$t. I have 01 Bullitt with 227K and I think the engine is getting a little smoking out the exhaust. So, when the time come I think I will rebuild the V2. But, again I think it will come to co$t.

@@allmotorhash I agree the old cars do sound better but these coyotes can sound pretty bad ass with the right exhaust setup ecspecially in a swap where the mufflers will be before the axle like they were in the old days (which helps some on sound). Make sure to do an offroad hpipe not xpjpe and get some deep sounding mufflers. Borla sounds killer with coyotes so does mbrp and couple others. They are more raspy than the old cars but many people compound this problem by throwing the wrong exhaust on (i.e. an x pipe which is raspier and straight through raspy sounding mufflers like corsa extremes). Go with a catless hpipe and no resonators and some of the more tame mufflers like borla touring or gt500 mufflers or the mbrp street catback....thats how you get these things sounding bad ass. Dont go with loud mufflers and plug it up with resonators tryin to make it quieter go with no cats no resonators and more tame mufflers that is the recipe for making a coyote sound great (and the opposite of what most coyote owners do lol). And make SURE you get an hpipe not x.

The only hangup i have with a coyote is the lack of the sound of a nice lumpy cam. I grew up in the 80's and to me thats when cars sounded great . Dont get me wrong my SC coyote goes like a raped ape but it dont sound like the engine in my truck .
You can do a cam lope tune. I know it is kinda rice in a way but even if you have real cams they dont chop unless you get a cammed tune so honestly I don't see the big deal if you want that sound why not. The boss 302 had it from ford that way with the track key. Throw in some l&m intake cams at the very least they do good with boost or na and it can somewhat justify doing the cam lope tune lol.

When i was 16 i was driving a 340 duster and many of my friends had 396 chevelle's and 69 camaro's so thats how my teens were. It just odd to own a performance car that really doesnt sound like one. Just an old guy missing days gone by.

chevy 350: sounds great open headers or mufflers, best for open header sound
ford 302: sounds great through most mufflers, flowmasters are iconic for it
dodge 318: sounds like ass open headers, always identifiable tho through mufflers
chevy LS/LT: sounds like absolute ass open headers, sounds pretty bad through mufflers still
dodge 6.2: sounds amazing through mufflers
ford new 5.0: finally catches up with OG SBC, sounds amazing in mufflers and x100 better open headers
