Thank you! I have never seen the seed pods! I always have cut the spent blooms off at the bottom of the stem! Oops! This is why I need your videos! I always thought the leaves gave energy to the bulb, and the stem it flowered on wasn't needed!

Well Carrie, you were 90% right all along, so that’s good! 👍 😀 Are your daffodils blooming right now or just getting started? 🌼

Hi Laura. I finally planted some beautiful yellow daffodils in my yard so this was super helpful to know. I’ll look for the other video regarding the leaves. What will I do without your channel?!! TY!

I bought a house last May when the daffodils had died back. I noticed when I tried to plant things that there was not much room between the bulbs. In March the daffodils came out and there are about 1000 so it's going to take ages to dead head them all. It will be worth it though as the display is stunning and this year as it has been so cold the flowers have lasted a long time.

I'm so envious of your built-in daffodil display that came with your home, Glennis! You're very lucky indeed. Yes, it will be a job to cut them all back -- but -- what a wonderful problem to have! 😀💛

My first year growing daffodils. Pretty successful. However, before watching your video, I got the idea I should cut the bloom stems way back rather than just deadheading. Have I harmed next year's blooms? I didn't touch the leaves.

Hi! Great video, here's a silly question, where do you put the seed pods and deadheads? do you leave them to fertilize? or just trash them?

Oh they chewed off two HUGE stems last Spring. And then just left them on the ground. I was livid. So that’s why the daffs were planted. Now I need to add a rabbit-resistant perennial around the shrub. Bunny stew: 🤣

They look pregnant!!!! lolz Some think letting the seed pod mature and saving the seed is a good idea but don't realize how long it will take to even get flowering plants out of said seed pods!

😂 Now I won’t be able to “unsee” those pregnant fading daffodils, probably for the rest of my life! 😂 Agree about the seedpods - best to leave that level of patience to those dutch bulb growers!
