I completely agree with wicked cyclone at number one. I felt the exact same way, I completely underestimated how good it would be and I originally didn’t even want to ride it. After my first experience on the coaster, I couldn’t get enough of it. I probably wrote it six times in a row.

Yea they took a huge turn towards the DC brand in the early 2000s at first it was just the Superman ride and then after a couple of years the entire area that the Superman ride was in turned into Gotham City. I know they renamed the Mind Eraser to the Riddler but I'm not sure if there are any other rides that have been renamed.

It's really a shame Goliath removed the old trains for the new ones that run a lot rougher. My personal favorite goes back and forth, but it's currently Superman after it got the new wheels last year.
You inspired me to go, and I went today for the first time. The lines were very long at the park, and they could have run more trains. Anyway, I went on Superman 4X, Wicked Cyclone 2X, and Thunderbolt 2X. My personal opinion is that Thunderbolt is a great classic coaster. The crowd seemed to love it, too. Many of the hills provided forces that I did not expect. There’s a reason it’s survived all these years. The park is also cleaner than SFGA.
OMG! When I went to six flags New England, me and my brother could NOT stop riding Wicked Cyclone! It was like, our favorite ride there. I still feel like I’m in the back row and the air time feeling with the roll in your stomach is the best feeling on any ride! Me and my brother loved it because of the ride, Twisted Cyclone at six flags over Georgia, it was our favorite ride there and they are practically the same ride aside from small differences.
I started going to riverside park when I was in 6th grade. It was an end of year band trip for us and we all looked forward to it so much every year. Awesome memories here!
I still remember riding the original wooden Cyclone, and I was glad to see them incorporate the old wooden beams into the new ride's design. The new one is much better, btw.
@@JeweledJames Oh, I've experienced worse. One of of my rides, my friend and I were together. When we came into the brake track, the rear wheels of our car detached and the rear lifted up about 3 feet, putting us nearly perpendicular to the ground before slamming back down. When we got off, we reported what happened to the ride operator and I think they stopped running that train to inspect it.
I totally agree with pick #1. It was an absolute blast riding it. Went yesterday before the storm hit. Managed to get into the waterpark and got on one of the slides.

New England SkyScreamer: It's fine nothing special but a good high swing ride. 14. Gotham City: Crime Wave: It's like a mini SkyScreamer and I like it because I'm a huge DC nerd. 13. Houdini: The Great Escape: I love this and it has good jump scares even if it isn't a big coaster. 12: Harley Quinn: Spinsanity: A good ride but you get sick after. 11. Pandemouin: A perfect;y fine ride that I like but don't love. 10. Thunderbolt: A pretty good and classic coaster but it isn't amazing. 9. Gotham City Gauntlet: Escape from Arkham: This ride is okay thrill wise but the theming is great. 8. Joker: I love this ride and the full free spin style is awesome. 7. The Riddler's Revenge: It is nice to ride and I like it. It is pretty awesome. 6. Flashback: I know it gets a lot of hate but I like it, it is nice fun & simple and one of my favorites to ride. 5. Wicked Cyclone: I know this is a little low but I found it awesome but there, in my opinion, are better rides here. 4. Goliath: One of my favorite rides ever but it is always closed. Otherwise it might be 2nd. 3. Dark Knight: I love this ride and the way your feet hang during loop-de-loops is awesome. 2. Scream: I love this ride! I definitely preferred the color scheme of mind eraser. However I have to say the restraints are really good now. If they had kept the color and got the new restraints it would be awesome. If only they could have thought of another DC thing that would go with pink and blue
I am from this area of Massachusetts and I’ve been to Six Flags quite a few times. I am horrified of large roller coasters are the only ones I will ride are Pandemonium, Catwoman’s Whip, Gotham City Gauntlet, and Thunderbolt. My favorite of these is probably Pandemonium, it’s super horrifying to me but that’s what makes it fun. Awesome review!
Haven't been to the park in a long time. The Riddler used to be called the Mind Eraser and used to always leave me with a headache. The Superman restraints were put in for a good reason. There was an incident were a handicap individual was able to get out of the restraints and feel to his death. After the new restraints were put in it was very uncomfortable for me to ride as a taller than average person but still love the ride. Haven't been since the mid 2000s definitely would like to go back and ride since of the new coasters.

My favorite coaster is Batman. We went on it 5 times because there was no line. We had got to the park early in the morning, and there was no one on Batman. (This is pre corona). The worst coaster for me is the flashback/boomerang (forgot lol) because going backwards on the loops hurt my head and it was so bumpy we had to literally sit around for 30 mins to get rid of the headache. Also I kind of missed Goliath as demolition started in 2021 but I never went on the ride because my friends and I always found it sketchy how the ride was in constant Repare and it shut down permanently with a ”minor“ cable problem which everyone knows that there is no such thing as a “MINOR" cable problem when referring to a roller coaster. Shout out to this guy though for not letting popularity deteriorate wether Superman is better than the Cyclone when everybody knows the Cyclone is the best
This is my home park, tbh as this is all opinion, I love the dark knight best of all. It's so smooth and fun. The restraints feel really secure and I just love it. Super man is fun but I have to give it to dark knight. Wicked cyclone is really fun and I too underestimated how crazy it would be. Though I have to say even then dark knight is my favorite. The only thing that could make dark knight better would be if it was 5 minutes longer.
I think a launch coaster is needed. An Intamin multi-launch along the lines of Taron would fit perfect here. They could get rid of the river rapids ride and place it there. I also think eventually a new woody would fit great. Placing a new GCI in the picnic grove area would be great imo.
YAAASSS! I’m more than happy you put wicked cyclone before superman. I love them both so so much! Fortunately for me the restraints don’t bother my legs on Superman, so it does make for a seriously hard decision. But I agree with cyclone being the best because Superman is just way too long. As soon as you go underground I’m just done with the ride. But theres two more humps to slow you down that I really hate, but obviously it’s needed lol. Thanks for the video!
Ah Massachusetts! Paragon Park which after 3 rerides without getting off at age 14 I knew trip 4 had something wrong. I kept turning to my much taller friend "something's Wrong!" Ride closed immediately after. Went way too fast. Around 1974
I agree with your top 5, as rough as Goliath is, those drops are so fun. Also I agree that all SLCs need vest restraints, it makes the ride actually enjoyable. As for the Joker, I personally enjoy the 4d Freespin coasters. Reminds me of the Zipper fair ride, but on a longer track.
Let’s hope for reopening in America, as most of the theme parks at Europe have already announced openings, and I heard that the first American theme park to open is Silverwood which I believe will open in May 30 this year
My home waterpark, Safari Joes H2O in Tulsa, OK, is opening Saturday, May 23rd, which was actually their planned opening date anyway. I'm thinking that my home town might actually have the first park to open in the country, and the only one to not lose a single operating day.
I hated the restraints on Wicked Cyclone. I have long legs, and the shin guard bends them back so my feet don't even touch the floor. It's a great ride with awful restraints. The Superman U bricks suck too, but if the ride ops aren't stapling, I can get a little room in them.
i love six flags new england(its the six flags closest to were i live) but this is problem mostly with the staff they push the restraints way to tight onto you causing a lot of painful rides especially with the wicked cyclone but thats more new staff compared to the old staff who would make the restraints feel safe but also not too tight
I think Joker is to low on the list... It’s actually my fourth favorite roller coaster at the park. With Batman, Wicked Cyclone, and Superman in front of it
My list - 11-Flashback 10.-Great Chase 9.-Gotham City Gauntlet 8.-Catwoman’s Whip 7.-Riddler’s Revenge 6.-Thunderbolt 5.-Pandemonium 4-The Joker 3.-Batman Dark Knight 2.-Wicked Cyclone 1.-Superman The Ride
Catwoman’s Whip...didn’t that used to be called “Poison Ivy” back in the day? That was my favorite coaster there as a kid :). Kind of dig the original name more haha
All SFNE needs is another large investment and they would be on the path to being a destination park. I really think a good, original BNM hyper would really put this park on the map. I know they already have a hyper, but BNM hypers and intamin hypers are very different. Ofcourse, this would never happen because SF doesn't have the money and if they did they probably wouldn't want to dump it in this park. But thats just me dreaming. I would love to have that at my home park!! Great video as always!!
This is always a park that I wish Cedar Fair would snatch up from Six Flags. It has so much more potential than what Six Flags uses , which is true of a few Six Flags parks, but I guess i'm biased towards this one as its' my home park.
Personally I love flashback, mainly out of nostalgia as it was the first real roller coaster I went on as a kid. Surprised you ranked Goliath so high. I can actually agree that the part where you’re suspended is pretty wicked, but everything else absolutely sucks and is painful and I make it an effort to not ride it (but I end up riding it anyway *just* to make sure that I still don’t like it, which I do). I think cyclone is a good choice for number one, Superman’s the big coaster with the huge line and gets a lot of attention, but cyclone is pretty thrilling and fun (I actually lost my phone on it as a kid, still love the coaster though). I also loved how you rated Cat Women’s whip higher than I expected. That was absolutely positively my favorite ride growing up, I adored that ride, as a little thrill seeker child it gave me more of a thrill than the other kid rides and I would ride it 20+ times every time I visited when I was very young (I’ll still ride it even now, even if I’m a little old for that). Anyway this was a very good ranking list
I totally agree with you about Superman's seats. They SUCK. I think for that reason alone I find myself enjoying Riddler and Bamtan more. If it had similar seating to Batman or Riddler it would be a contender for the #1 spot. However, nothing beats Wicked Cyclone!
12. Great Chase 11. Catwoman 10. Goliath did I even ride this, I think I got a concussion so I forget 9. GCGEFAA 8. Thunderbolt 7. Flashback 6. Joker 5. Pandemonium 4. Riddler 3. Dark Knight 2. Wicked Cyclone 1. Superman
I think Superman and Wicked Cyclone are tough competition for #1. Heres how I would rank the two: Theming: Wicked Cyclone Airtime: Superman Shorter Wait time: Superman General ride experience: Superman Airtime distribution: Wicked Cyclone Superman is my personal winner

I think a launch coaster is needed. An Intamin multi-launch along the lines of Taron would fit perfect here. They could get rid of the river rapids ride and place it there. I also think eventually a new woody would fit great. Placing a new GCI in the picnic grove area would be great imo.
A modern woodie or launch coaster would work 👍
@@XscreamThrills Why not both? introduce the first GCI launched woody, with it's new Millennium Flyer trains and track?
When I rode Batman in the back row, there was a decent bit of heatbanging on the corkscrews, especially the second one.
I rode up in the front and it was smooth
It’s a front row ride, but I would recommend the middle row
Thanks for making a video on my home park ♥️
My pleasure 😊
It's too long? What about those finale bunny hills?
the riddler made my head hurt so bad. My best friend hit her head and blacked out. I rode it for the first time yesterday and I said NEVER AGAIN.
me and my dad had a not so amazing experience riding it
Ah Massachusetts! Paragon Park which after 3 rerides without getting off at age 14 I knew trip 4 had something wrong. I kept turning to my much taller friend "something's Wrong!" Ride closed immediately after. Went way too fast. Around 1974
Ahhhh. The Giant Coaster. I used to go there with my Grandparents many years ago!
Only coaster I haven’t ridden here is Great Chase honestly bc I forgot it was even there😂
I agree with your top 5, as rough as Goliath is, those drops are so fun. Also I agree that all SLCs need vest restraints, it makes the ride actually enjoyable. As for the Joker, I personally enjoy the 4d Freespin coasters. Reminds me of the Zipper fair ride, but on a longer track.
Let’s hope for reopening in America, as most of the theme parks at Europe have already announced openings, and I heard that the first American theme park to open is Silverwood which I believe will open in May 30 this year
I think my plans for the 2020 season is going to involve more southern parks.
My home waterpark, Safari Joes H2O in Tulsa, OK, is opening Saturday, May 23rd, which was actually their planned opening date anyway. I'm thinking that my home town might actually have the first park to open in the country, and the only one to not lose a single operating day.
To be totally honest. The first ride I went on here was wicked cyclone and I completely agree. it was awesome
Wait so the boomerang models are corona?!
Yess wicked cyclone was amazing
Rip Goliath gone but never forgotten
I’m glad that you just start off by dissing Goliath it was kinda fun in my experience but I guess that’s just me
I hated the restraints on Wicked Cyclone. I have long legs, and the shin guard bends them back so my feet don't even touch the floor. It's a great ride with awful restraints. The Superman U bricks suck too, but if the ride ops aren't stapling, I can get a little room in them.
The 9 dislikes are the kids that arnt tall enough to get on the good rides
For real!
Would love to see a video like this for SFGAm once you visit! ☺️
Well, my plan was to go this year...Guess that's not happening :(
Yeah it’s my home park, and I’m very sad to think it will probably not open at all this year
My home park!!!
i love six flags new england(its the six flags closest to were i live) but this is problem mostly with the staff they push the restraints way to tight onto you causing a lot of painful rides especially with the wicked cyclone but thats more new staff compared to the old staff who would make the restraints feel safe but also not too tight
Guys wicked cyclone is better at night than day next time you go to 6 flags go on wicked cyclone at night and then see which is better
im going this monday and im shit scared rn.
I think Joker is to low on the list... It’s actually my fourth favorite roller coaster at the park. With Batman, Wicked Cyclone, and Superman in front of it
Crazy I got stuck on Wicked Cyclone yesterday...
This is my home park, I haven’t been on Wicked Cyclone or Flashback. Catwoman’s Whip has a HUGE train.
My list - 11-Flashback 10.-Great Chase 9.-Gotham City Gauntlet 8.-Catwoman’s Whip 7.-Riddler’s Revenge 6.-Thunderbolt 5.-Pandemonium 4-The Joker 3.-Batman Dark Knight 2.-Wicked Cyclone 1.-Superman The Ride
Im quite sad i dd not get to ride goliath as im pretty sure its done gor as closed for season
Catwoman’s Whip...didn’t that used to be called “Poison Ivy” back in the day? That was my favorite coaster there as a kid :). Kind of dig the original name more haha
It was called Poison Ivy's Tangled Train
@@XscreamThrills *Twisted train ;)
OMG Finnaly Somebody Agrees With Me On Goliath!
Same!
GOLIATH GANG!
Love New England Massachusetts old roller cooayer
gotham city gauntlet shut down on my younger cousin and i yesterday, we were stuck at the top for 10 mins
Ok Superman’s restraints don’t bother me and I think wicked cyclone and Superman are tied and I just rode these yesterday so it’s fresh in my mind
Have you been to the big e in September
Nice vid!
I totally agree with you about Superman's seats. They SUCK. I think for that reason alone I find myself enjoying Riddler and Bamtan more. If it had similar seating to Batman or Riddler it would be a contender for the #1 spot. However, nothing beats Wicked Cyclone!
Love videos of my home park like this
When I went to New England in October of 2019 I experienced some head banging on the corkscrew of Batman in the back row
Wicked is Cyclone is by far the best roller coaster ride. Your ranking was spot on.
12. Great Chase
11. Catwoman
10. Goliath did I even ride this, I think I got a concussion so I forget
9. GCGEFAA
8. Thunderbolt
7. Flashback
6. Joker
5. Pandemonium
4. Riddler
3. Dark Knight
2. Wicked Cyclone
1. Superman
Alexander Axais I actually have my list almost the exact same as yours, but pandemonium and Joker is flipped
Nathan Mckenney cool
Thunderbolt needs to be higher considering how old that coaster is
@@wavyiann9788 I found it to be kinda boring and forceless
I was so fucking scared on the wicked cyclone my seat belt wouldn’t click and I only noticed when the ride already started
my favorite ride is the joker but wicked cyclone is close up
Interesting first pick
I haven't been to an amusement park in years. I can't handle intense rides anymore.
Wow! I'm really surprised that you put Wicked Cyclone over Superman. Nevertheless, great video 👍
Honestly, it's a tough call. I love them both!
Nice list. (Personally I think the best moment on Wicky is the double down.)
I love the first outer banked turn and final zero g roll
I think Superman and Wicked Cyclone are tough competition for #1. Heres how I would rank the two:
Theming: Wicked Cyclone
Airtime: Superman
Shorter Wait time: Superman
General ride experience: Superman
Airtime distribution: Wicked Cyclone
Superman is my personal winner
Im such a sucker for spinning coasters I actually think Pandemonium is the 3rd best coaster in the park.
I went on the amazing wicking colossus, DUDEEEEE IT WAS SO FASTTTT
I was supposed to go there next month but now you'll have to wait until next summer to hear my rankings of these coasters because of the pandemic.😷
You’ll go there soon, it’s my home park
my hands are sweating just watching this video...
I'm going here in August
Home park
wait i thought it was closed 2:34 looks like me what the heck swingimg on the bars
Wicked Cyclone is my favorite RMC I-Box
You should really do a planet coaster series a realistic series park!!!! You would get lots of views coming from a TH-cam viewer
I have been dabbling around with the idea of Planet Coaster, I just hope I'm not too late to that party though
XscreamThrills you can do it
my home Theme park, I go there every time for Mybirthday BEsides this year bc corona but MY Favourite ride for years was The PandomoniumI loved the thrill but I rode it so much That It isin't really much of a thrill anymore I have conversations on it ither wise my favorite Now is the Batman
