It's sad to see how autographs are (almost) all about rising the value of memorabilia and not something you get to expand your own collection. Thanks for keeping it real! Lea Thompson is absolutely gorgeous - she hasn't aged a day since Back to the Future!

After watching his channel for the past few years, I finally ran into the Wetmovie at this event yesterday. I've been going to these things on and off for years. We only spoke for a quick moment, but Brendan was very friendly. And I've been saying this for years. The autograph fees are too expensive. I was going to get Chris Lloyds, but I was not going to pay him $120.00. I realize he's an iconic actor, but that is just milking your fans. And as Brendan pointed out, he did not look terribly happy. Lea Thompson on the other hand looked thrilled to meet all of her fans. She had a very good attitude. And I could be wrong, but I was told by one of the staff members that Lea Thompson and Tom Wilson were only $60.00 each. That's at least more reasonable. Anyhow, it was great to finally meet you, Brendan.

12.41 - Wetmovie, people should be able to ask if they prefer a simple inscription. "German In Venice" showed footage from this convention and I recall the pricing showed $125 Christopher Lloyd, $80 Lea Thompson, or $280 for all three cast (including Tom Wilson). Christopher Lloyd didn't speak to anyone I've seen cue for his signature. While he is the oldest of the three cast members, when people have paid the price for the signature, along with all the time spent travelling and waiting in a cue, I'm sure even a few words would have made it a better experience.
That dude spent $100+ to have Christopher Lloyd sign a common Neca figure and had him sign on the picture of the toy inside the packaging??
Ya that German guy was pretty ecstatic about getting his toy signed. So what if it's common or not, if That's what he always wanted and 1 signature froM his favorite actor is what it's all about... i would do the same....
i can see the $100+ was deff a little much, and some of the celebrities there aren't too happy about meeting their own fans and look angry.

I haven't even Been to a celebrity "signing" yet because I don't want to be "let down" from the actor/actress being rude or "not even acknowledge" their fans like "lloyd did " when he signed his poster... didn't even say anything even when the guy said thanks, not once but twice...
Only person I regret not meeting was that wwe wrestler Razor Ramon, that past away... he woulda been cool to meet and deff Joker, "Heath Ledger" ...
But cast of back to future is on my top "list to go meet".... for sure

I did the same thing as you, back in the 1990's. I went to many rock concerts, heavy metal concerts and met quite a few Hollywood actors when they came to town. I got a lot of pictures and autographs, and back then the autographs were free if you bought the concert ticket which was usually only $7.00. It was higher only one time, $15.00 I think to buy a celebrities book so he would sign it. Otherwise, no one was allowed to get near. The actors didn't cost anything, just show up to their personal appearance and get photos and an autograph.
Obviously, things have really changed as evidence seeing this video. But a lot of time has passed and everyone needs money to live on, so I'm not surprised. I could not do it anymore, I don't have any money to pay to get autographs. Money has to be spent on more important things, needs. At least you went and we get to see your video. So thanks.

Awesome you got to meet Lea Thompson, Thomas Wilson, Marla Gibbs, and Christopher Lloyd. Sadly it was mostly rain here in Florida, but then again, we really don't do all that much for Easter nowadays, aside from Easter Baskets and Ham Dinners. Hope you had a swell Easter.

Wow!! How lucky you are to get out and meet these actors that we love and Lea Thompson and Christopher Lloyd! That would be a dream and for me so would Nicole Eggert from Baywatch! I wish I could go to events like this at least for a autograph 😪 these days I can't do much due to my handicap ( brittle bone disease) I've tried to attend events in my state but everytime something happened like a broken leg so I would be on bedrest or in the hospital.

The way to combat that pricing is to not pay , you dont pay for stuff , the price will drop .. I have been going to convention in LA CA for about 35 years now, Linda Blair and Bill Moseley were always two I would hit up at conventions, I stopped going to their tables because it jus felt like i was being fleeced.. Linda at least gives to dog charity. good on her. . I was just at Son of Monsterpalooza , and passed on Anthony Micael Hall because he wanted $100.00 to sign a poster .. F that..
