So nice, It's pretty cool! I'm working on a website and would like to add an animated background with a lava lamp effect, similar to this. I'd like to keep the glowing effect, but I'd like the bubbles to be more blob-like instead of perfectly round. Do you know how to change the circles to slightly noisy forms ?
@flouksac4269 You can add a displacement to the material, a noise texture with big scaling which can be also animated. Alternatively, metaballs have other shapes like capsules.
Every time I try to render this project my whole blender project freezes. Is there any advice you can give to help this render? All of my other projects work flawlessly
Didnt work for me , my Mballs didnt act as Mballs but rather as a normal mesh clipping on into each other, downloaded the file you provide but its also broken ( nothing in sight) I think an update that they made changed rules that we dont quite know yet.
Please note that this was made in Blender 3.5 and apparently does not work in newer versions. I am working on an updated tutorial.

i'm having dificulties with this ,i'm using the 4.1 version, not the 3.5 like in the video

I am trying to figure out a way for it to work in the new versions. So far it works for static metaballs but no animation.
