dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies on Instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown xD
As a guitar nerd, I feel very fortunate to have Joe post a few of these lately. So great to get to see the picking, hand position, and everything up close and personal. Great music, great tone. Thanks, Joe!
This guy hasn’t wasted an opportunity to place an amazing riff into every song he writes, Psycroptic keeps tech death alive \m/ Dean Lamb from Archspire and Joe Haley are the best riff writers working right now
Joe, unrelated question, but can you please confirm once and for all - is it The Valley of Winds BENEATH the Dragons Fire (the way Spotify has it) or is it The Valley of Winds BREATH and Dragons Fire (the way it’s listed everywhere else online) It’s one of my favorite Psycro songs you guys were going absolutely nuts on the Scepter album 🔥🤘 I would absolutely melt of joy to see a vid of you playing it!
Hey mate, yeah it’s meant to be “breath”. Cheers! Oof, been many years since I’ve played that one - I’ll have to see if I can figure it out again haha!
@@joehaley5255 thanks for the clarification, bruddah! How does it actually work with the older albums? Isle, Scepter, Symbols etc does the band still have the stems for those? Isle sounds like it was recorded live maybe.. Also you’ve been teasing us with that Ibby SR bass in a lot of your videos 😜😏 haha so many questions and requests.. forgive us mortals! Cheers, man!
Fantastic playing as always, your picking hand makes it look so easy! Any chance of seeing some older stuff like Merchants of Deceit or A Planetary Discipline?
Any chance for a playthrough of Momentum of the Void, Joe? That song is just destroying me lately...can’t figure out the hybrid picked part for the life of me....or at least it sounds hybrid picked. The section roughly 40 seconds in.
diabloman I think some of the newer songs are bit trickier in terms of the riffs and runs themselves but I probably actually find it a bit easier than the older stuff in a way. I think my style has slightly evolved over the years so I play in a slightly different way I think. This just makes older stuff a little uncomfortable while the newer stuff falls into place pretty well for me.
I could watch play throughs like this of every album all day.

@Zaid Amos Yea, have been using instaflixxer for years myself :D

Fantastic playing as always, your picking hand makes it look so easy! Any chance of seeing some older stuff like Merchants of Deceit or A Planetary Discipline?
TransformerTurtle haven't really got any backings for the older stuff but I might be able to just play over the top of it - have to see how it sounds.
It'l sound godlike.
I second a planetary discipline. Been trying to learn that song a while and I'm stuck at a couple parts. Would be cool to see

Can you do some stuff off of Ob(Servant) please?
Mike Caputo I reckon I can down the track - just gotta find some time to put some backing tracks together for the observant stuff..
do you have 11-18 on the 3rd through 1st strings scalloped or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
Joe, do you have any albums or songs that stand out as particularly difficult to play? Would you say the older stuff is easier?
