- G2 Esports are the best European League of Legends team ever. In 2019 they won both LEC splits, made the World Championship finals, and became the first EU team to win MSI.
So after finding all this success last year, you’d think the MSI champions and World finalists would simply run it back… But G2’s two carries swapped roles… again.

lol i remember it’s like 2016 that people make fun of G2 for going on a vacation i guess? And from then, it was nothing but continuous success for G2 to the point everyone in the west overhyped them against the Chinese teams.

Totally, they took the league by storm and even managed to beat G2 in 1 best of 5. Can't wait to see them in summer

Wunder is beast.He can play anything on highest level(Soraka,ryze,Zac,Orn,Irelia,pyke...)He is top 3 in the world at his position .
This iteration of G2 is by far the most interesting, fascinating, innovating team league has ever had. It's a pleasure to watch this all go live
I know it seems small, but it would be cool if thumbnails had a small icon repping what game is focused in the video. Dont get me wrong ive been playing league since season 5 and love it but it would be a cool way to let viewers know what game that team is playing in

@@GrowingUpWithTheInternet It is allowed. They might have few comps where Caps goes bot and Perkz mid, f.ex. Caps is better Ezreal bot and Perkz is better LeBlanc mid. But I think they will mostly stick to their roles and just use the experience they have leaned during this split.

For a team to play perfectly every player has to fully understand every role. Role swapping is a great way to learn that.

I still think caps is either 2nd or 3rd best adc he only had 2 bad games the whole split on his first time playing bot lane and perkz also had 1 really bad game on adc as well when he started and also they seemed more dominate did not drop to fanatic at all
caps ezreal and senna were really good and yes he was 3rd best bot laner behind Rekkles and Carzzy
Rekkles carzzy upset were better imo over whole split but you're right he wasn't as bad as people said and he was really good in playoffs

if you check oracleelixir for player stats, literally everyone in g2 tops the dpm charts... perkz also said on stream that they are just a dpm team
If the rules allow, since they may have different champ pool, they can swap role according to picks of the game, that will make all other team cry
if i remember correctly, orome played renekton mid vs perkz (becasue of the yasuo matchup) in game 3 of the playoff semifinals. so even in best of 5s, you can swap around your positions however you like. ist just usually not done, because the players are the best on their main positions

I am a die hard g2 fan but ngl i will say this i wish the counter strike roster wins tournaments the same time as how their league team wins tournaments as well

inb4 rito makes a rule that pros can't swap lanes in official matches and only play in their dedicated roles decided at the beginning of the season
That wouldn't really do anything unless they somehow restricted you from going to another lane in-game. Sometimes top and mid swap in the middle of the game.
To be honest what they can try is just constant role swapping based on comfort heroes. There are definetely heroes that Caps is better in mid with than Perkz and opposite. Same for ADC - they can do what Liquid in Dota 2 is doing. They swap lanes whenever 1 player is better on the hero. For example in TI9 W33 was nominal midlaner but Alchemist as a hero was popular carry hero in combat build back then. W33 was better at combat build so he played carry. When they needed Meepo and safe lane was better matchup Miracle also played mid. Caps and Perkz are a bit like Miracle and W33. They have huge hero pool so they are able to do this and that might be the way to beat Asians this year because JD gaming with Kanavi and KT 1 with 2nd life Faker look scary. G2 needs to suprise them if they want to win worlds.

G2 really gave the controller to the older brother
They did it because Perkz was giga bored and stressed by playing ADC, because of the World Championship ADC Meta was only about Kaisa and Xayah. So it was'nt only f*ck it, it was much more psychologically than you would think it was.

the way g2 completely adapted their play style with in a week, is nothing sort of amazing no other team in the world has gone from playing one style all split long to mixing it up completely within a week turn around, this is credit to G2 coaching staff and G2 players.... yet fnatic played G2 like it was old G2 thats why they got 3-0

All I see from this is the potential of G2 becoming an SKT1-like dynasty.
If they win the next split and succeed this time in worlds, they could keep steamrolling as long as perks and caps agree to keep lane swapping in order to not get tired of staying only ADC. Also, acknowledging that them doing this together with the support of everyone else in the team, is their road to conquering the world. It's crazy seeing that we could be witnessing the birth of a new giant, "...and it comes from Europe".

Idk much about pro league of legends, but could in theory, G2 play with clCaps in mid one series, then the next series switch him with Perkz to mess with the opponents? Or is that against the rules?
they could, there are no rules regarding position, a player can play any champion/position on the map, I think they just didn't swap during play offs out of pride, Caps was getting a lot of flack for that MAD loss so they wanted to prove they could win the title with Caps bot
Imagine if next patch adcs get overbuffed and get play on mid at worlds. that would just be unfair lol
