I still have this book and was lucky to have gone to the Kibbe studio in NYC to get type analysis and makeup lesson, hair done and then some wardrobe suggestions. I’m a classic dramatic and I can tell you this is me PERFECTLY. It has saved me $ with wrong purchases (one ruffle😱😂)..I am forever grateful to David Kibbe for this help .. Recently I grew my short hair out (Covid lockdown hair!!) and after 6 months cut it to the dramatic short hair I usually have. All I heard from people was “welcome back!” Lol. And now I smile again seeing ME. Shoulder pads, I never go without makeup ( including lashes) -even on days I don’t leave the house. I love the prep and the results make me feel strong and in charge and powerful. ❤️ I highly highly recommend his book to anyone!!
I was always confused about whether I was a soft dramatic or a curvier dramatic (I’m 5’8 and for most of my life I weighed 160 lbs, I’m naturally pear shaped). I recently lost 30 lbs thinking I would look better smaller. I was so wrong!I saw pictures of myself and I looked so bad. My cheeks and eyes look sunken in. My body doesn’t look healthy anymore. Maybe this means I’m really a soft dramatic and should embrace being on the thicker side. Has anyone else had confusion over being a dramatic vs a soft dramatic?
Yes Im 5'7 and hasitating between these 2 till this day. I am a hourglass but my face does not fit any of them unfortunately, with extra weight my bodyshape really changes. I try to follow what is common in the 2 and really make sure the colours of my clothes match perfectly and usually i look good in my outfit :)
Soft Dramatics don’t need to carry extra weight to look good. That’s a misconception. If your bust doesn’t protrude out of your rib cage line then chances are you are a pure D.
@@시린-d4i but can you be a dramatic with a small waist, small rib cage and a large butt, big hips and thick thighs? I’m also of Italian descent and a lot of soft dramatics like Monica Bellucci and Sophia Loren are too. But I have come to the conclusion that maybe this system isn’t for me. Like you can’t necessarily put everyone in a box.
I am struggling between D and SD as well. In older photos where I weighted more I would say SD, but since losing weight my waist is not as defined and I have gained muscle mass in my abdominals decreasing my waist as well.
Michelle Dockery did not strike me as dramatic but it totally makes sense! And that's why she looks amazing in 1920's fashion! It definitely suits her!
This is helpful, I've been trying to figure out if I'm dramatic or soft dramatic, but when you said no frou frou it kind of cemented it in my mind I'm definitely dramatic. Great video, thank you!
I always hated how I looked. Too manly, too strong, too everything. But learning that I'm a Dramatic makes me feel powerful, capable and beautiful in my own way.
Does anyone know how to differentiate between dramatics and very skinny soft dramatics ? I've been checking their pictures but, I can't figure the differences yet .
You have to understand the recommendations cause you can use a romantic style, but prefer monochrome delicated tones in an alongated dress for example. This is the magic in Kibbe, if you’re dramatic your delicate look will be totally different from a romantic one
Ok this is going to drive me insane. I'm 5'9 and roughly 110 pounds on a good day (otherwise I'm much lighter). I have definitely an hourglass body (90-60-89) and I would describe my limbs as long/moderately tall.) While my bone structure is generally sleek and I have barely any fat on my bone and muscles are elongated, my thighs look more flamboyant. I look incredible with waist emphasis, and delicate shoes make my legs look like two long fat logs. For context, even sneakers have this effect so I usually wear very chunky platform doc martens, which look amazing. I also wouldn't describe my complexion as vivid (I'm most likely a soft summer) but I am very pale. I don't look good in cropped pants and I tend to dress like a flamboyant natural but with waist emphasis and high waisted pants (which generally look bette). Then I look at my fave, and I don't look very good with super sharp makeup,. I'm so confused on whether I'm a flamboyant natural or a dramatic

Im naturally really really skinny, have a good hip to waist ratio, have quite an ass, flat chest, sharp features in my face (aquiline nose, high cheekbones, marked jawline, my eyes are ratherbig but look sleepy witha negative canthal tilt) and im 1'65cm (medium height). Can i be dramatic ??? everybody says im a mix between a dramatic and gamine. I really have no clue. Anyone could help me? :)

Interesting because I immediately felt she was dramatic 😅

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to bringing us quality imfomation. Well done! 👏 looking forward for soft dramatic strategies. Merci!

Thank you for your efforts. It helps a lot, waiting for classic style narration
oo thanks for this video, you recently typed me as a Dramatic so this is helpful!

Do people notice your Thin sharp lines more immediately than they would notice your curves?
What should I do if I'm dramatic, but prefer the recommendations for romantics?
Same here 😂

Please do Flamboyent Natural next 😍🥰
tbh Olivia culpo lools good in literally everything. some people are just gorgeous
My body matches the description of a dramatic however I have soft facial features and round cheeks. Could I be a soft dramatic?
Can you do color blocking for dramatics? Is it okay that the top and the pants have different colors?
i'm a natural but i feel like i should be a dramatic! i really feel the dramatic vibe in myself more than the natural. oy vey stuck in the wrong body!
Lol! I get you. I believe I'm opposite. Love Natural style but am learning to accept I'm probably pure D.
Is Caitriona Balfe a dramatic?
Новый уровень! Поздравляю🥳🥳🥳 именно типирование по Кибби помогло мне разобраться, что же в итоге носить❤️
Thank you, Aly! 🌻

1:23 "Narrow , thin or straight lips" 2:03 "lush facial features....full lips" So thin lips or full lips?
Normally thin, but it's combination of features, not just one feature. If most features stand for Dramatic then it's Dramatic
She reads "A dramatic will *not* have lush facial features... full lips...." Hope it helps.
Thank you ❤ very useful video

you sound like a dramatic classic or flamboyant gamine (if you don't look 'tall')
Please now Soft natural!!!!
oh I can be a Dramatic
Me who's 5'4: 😔
There’s no curvy dramatic
This is such a beautiful and elegant kibbe type! 💜
❤️❤️❤️
