"Potato Chip Blocks" are a great way to use up leftover small scraps... I love scraps! I started quilting 24 years ago...and actually, for some reason, organized my scraps as I went along, right from the beginning, into bins according to color, fabric lines, themes, etc... I now rescue cotton quilt fabrics from the thrift shop, and have a special rolling cart/bin from Michael's...where thrifted fabric goes into. Then I always know, I can always cut into those and not worry that they were for something else! I organize those by color way and make charity quilts..
That's awesome! ☀️🌸♻️. I love them too!
I was making scrap pineapple blocks last week and recognized frabric from prom dresses I sewed for my daughter over 50 years ago. Thanks for sharing.
Aww, that is so nice! ☀️🌸✂️.
I love scraps and scraps videos. I get such a thrill when I see a fabric in your scraps that I recognize from my own past Fabrics
I'm glad you are tuning in! The scraps are never gone! ☀️❤️
I've assigned myself 3 days a week to do a bit of scrap cutting. Slowly working through more than 30 years of scraps. It's so fun seeing all the fabrics from so long ago.
Oh wow! That's a great plan! ☀️
My favourite was the Kaffe red 'circles' fabric 🥰
It's sure pretty, isn't it!? ☀️
Thank you for making these videos. I'm learning how to make my own clothes and am very conscious of the waste I'm creating from the discarded fabrics/mockups. These videos certainly give me a good idea on how to use those scraps so that I can create less waste from perfectly good (if small) fabric pieces. I love it! One day I hope to make one of those patch coats which look so cool 😎
You're very welcome! And I also have a coat project in process (2 years now and getting closer!) ☀️
Bonsoir Annette.
I really want to see what you are doing with these fabrics!
Me too! ☀️. Working on it now! ♻️
That Kaffe Fassett fabric is so gorgeous! Can’t wait to see what you do with it! Deb x 🤗
Thanks Deb! ☀️. I got some really pretty stuff at the sale!
I’ve been kind of doing the same thing. Strings, 10” & 5” & 2.5” squares.
I can’t wait to see what your project is!! Maybe your project will work for me! 😊
Oh I sure hope so! ☀️❤️
Awesome job, mission accomplished!!!
❤️😀
Yes! Thank you! ❤️♻️
Thanks for the great ideas.
You're very welcome!
☀️
For the past couple of days I have been processing scrap batting. Making Frankenbatting is fun but time consuming. It is great to use for small and medium projects. Love watching your videos. Sew On Sis!
FRANKEN BATTING! Oh yeah! ❤️ 🤣☀️♻️. THANK YOU, Christina!
I use a sharpie marker to date my new rotary blade. This gives me an idea how long it's been since the last change.
Great tip!!! ☀️
Hi!☀️
