@@RMSBones to me the main thing about agility is that you want reliability. You want reliability so if someone is only sometimes outspeeding, they're the best candidate. If someone never outspeeds, then they're better off reliably going second for preemptive healing etc
@@Easssae This. If the healer can't reliably go first every turn it's best they go last every turn. The worst out come is when your healer with average speed goes first with the party wide heal and everyone was already at full health then the goes last on the next turn and the party gets wiped out.
you can do so much worse than that, that's actually an incredibly acceptable use for them given that the hero class is blatantly overpowered in everything it does anyway.
Since the Hero cannot reclass and is always in the party, I always give the seeds to him. Anyone who played DQ7 would know the pain of giving seeds to a certain person
People talk trash about Merchants, but, their Stone Throw ability (throwing rocks) is solid for early leveling. They probably suck in the 2nd half, but, I’m finding that + extra gold to be a solid early game grinding tool.
Lol, level a merchant in the first half, then when you hit dharma, switch them out for a character you want to build up. Keep them at patties for a certian moment.
Also worth pointing out certain benchmarks should be considered too. If you have multiple melee attackers and you come to a higher tier defensive monster with certain members only dealing single digit (or even 1) it may be worth avoiding using Strength on them until they get a better weapon because the damage increase will be negligible, use them on the melee attacker dealing solid damage still and the damage increase will be more.
Good to know my seed usage is permanent for my party! Though, I'm probably only going to buff my Mage's Wisdom, and HP, and dump everything else on the Hero, until his stats get super high.
there are videos i give a like and videos like this that disserve so much more! you gave me answers to questions i never knew i had lol. wonderful video i thank you!
oh man I have been using them to boost my hero only, because I thought this was still the case. I have to admit that I have noticed a few other little changes through out the game and that most of the guides right now are all based on the older versions. So I have been not 100% certain how accurate they might be.
I have an argument for using them once everyone is at their final vocations you want to use, and at level cap. Then you dont waste seeds, if the characters hit a stat cap before leveling all the way up. I focused on my hero with all of them, and my hero got HP capped at around level 65 I believe. That is a good amount of HP seeds that could have been fed to someone else, and my hero could have still hit HP cap naturally it seems like.
The real question is what's the most optimal way to have a Wizard with High wisdom (and agility) that knows Wild Side (for quadracast), and a Martial Artist/Thief/Warrior that also has Wild Side (for double pile on). Do you start with a MW and take them all the way to until you get 50 monsters (around the time you get Ultimate Key) and then switch, or do you start with X and Y, switch to MW once you hit 50 monsters, level up MWs until you gain enough stats that getting cut in half again won't hurt, then do a third respec into the final class.
But the thorn whip on a mage in the early game is pretty good. The stat still falls off but with how high a normal physical damage dealers stats get while the mage's is still going to be low, could justify it for the early game. Not that you really need to worry much about the early game with how easy it is even on the highest difficulty.
@Easssae You can get the thorn whip before even your first random encounter if you just wait outside till night then go into the otherwise closed off house. But I get what you're getting at.
It's less that you wait for it, more that you rest at the inn. I see waiting for it as more of a party trick, kinda like running around town woth elevating shoes
Ah thank you! Do you know what is the optimum time to reclass? I'm wondering if it's after getting all the spells and abilities at level 45. Or if it's better to reclass at level 99. Does it change when it's a second reclassing? I just want max output damage for the final post game boss, but I'm not great at building high output damage characters :/
@@barpoe the first reclass should be at around lvl20, else you'll learn abilities later (since your wisdom will be lower) and just won't perform since the stats after even reclassing once would be so much higher. Any optimizations are better done with a halfway competent party

I dunno man, I used my 19 seeds of stamina on my hero and jumped up over 100 hp on the next level. That was a very noticeable difference. I do agree that you don't need seeds tho, and that levels will make up the difference eventually, but there's something to be said about not grinding out 200,000 exp to make up the difference that seeds would have made if you used them.
It's not a bad idea to just use all seeds on hero but maybe spare some health ones for mages. You will generally get more stats on non-hero characters with the class change mechanic, but the hero has to rely on seeds to get bonuses or closely adjust personality for what you desire out of the character.

@danielgaines9935 I think it's fine for the hero to end up as the weak link if everyone else is stronger for it. And his strength doesn't really come from stats, but instead the abilities either way
@Easssae true to a point. However, still need stats to stay in the fight. The hero is a utility character. Able to damage all with magic attacks as well as physical. However, he also heals. And gets one of the better healing spells. If his healing does the lowest possible, in later game and end game, it's almost worthless. Yet with, for example, a higher wisdom stat, he would heal more. At the same time, his combat spells would also cause more damage. Making him just as effective as the rest of the party. He is the hero after all.
