I have had an oil leak described in the video for a while now, and I was a bit concerned about it. Cant afford dealer charges. Your video gave me the encouragement to try and do it myself. Ordered the part....same part works for 2005 nomad too. Got it today, went in the garage and did it! piece of cake, as you said. Felt real good about it. Will see if it worked in a day or two. Video was very helpful. Just a few things need to be corrected in the video as mentioned by your readers here....So, thanks again and I would suggest to people to do it themselves if they get this problem. You saved me at least a hundred dollars or maybe more, if the dealership is run by crooks.

Thank you VERY MUCH! It is the same part for my 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan vn1600a Classic. I was going crazy over at Partzilla diagrams. You are GREAT! Safe rides!

Thanks mate for the part number. I got a 2007 Nomad. Having the same problem I went to the dealer; funny thing is that when they looked the diagram it did not showed up. Thanks to your help with the part number. I got the ghost seal and I'll be doing the job probably tomorrow.
Thanks again. ( Sydney - Australia.)

Very nice video my friend! Thank you very much! I fixed it today, but I think I didn't press it properly, so it leaked again. I'll do it tomorrow following your tips.

Good video. Thanks. Mine just started leaking on my 2011 900 classic. Brake peddle, yes, I knew what he meant. No big deal, no need to get pissy about. Just a typo. 😂

I just pulled and reset my seal. The rod dimple was up against the slave cylinder and flat part against the clutch. There is a little bump on the slave cylinder face that mates into the rod dimple. My biggest fear with this was some piece inside falling out of alignment if I pulled the rod completely out. That is what I love about videos like yours. It is like practice surgery. You can see it done before you make mistakes. Thank you for the post.

you put people in the wrong. the rod must go in the other side, the hole at the end of the rod must go to the side of the clutch cylinder, I have the mechanical manual

What is the red circle thing just to the right of the slave cylinder?

Not always there buddy. I found there is a straight head screw on that black round clutch cap. It had backed out and oil was leaking from there , not where you are saying . Ya there are 2 ways you get oil on your kickstand . Make sure you double check what I'm saying or you'll still have oil leaking.

If this message gets through to you or the kid, can you plz tell me if this part number would be the same for my 99 Vulcan nomad 1500. I'm from Minnesota and there is a Kawasaki shop in Stillwater. It's called northway sports. If you could please look it up and tell me a part number it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!! hope this gets through to you. Thx

Even he made a few mistakes people like me still get the job done and it is true parts dealers are very rude if you don't know the exact part#
