Every single possible “solution” makes the car look ugly when attaching a license plate to an Alfa Romeo Giulia or Stelvio. Some have recommended tow hook attachment brackets, or even a slide out motorized retractable bracket.
The only feasible solution is attaching magnets behind the bumper!

I never knew that you had an Alfa Romeo and I’ve been watching your videos for years. My wife and I have a 2022 and a 2024.
The front plates are in our trunk’s. If we get pulled over, we will tell the police that because of supply chain shortages, the dealers don’t have license plate brackets!
And I got a great deal on both of them, because of your videos!

Perhaps one day all the remaining states will end the current legal requirement of having a front plate on cars.
Absolutely, unequivocally run it without the front plate. It's worth any potential tickets. Don't ruin the front end!

I run mine without a front plate, told them to put it on and that I will get my own inspection elsewhere at the dealership. To pass inspection I used double sided 3m tape and stuck it to the bottom right grill and put 2 screws in to look like it was drilled in then just removed it after. Haven't had any problems with cops yet and I've had the car since June. No way I'd ever drill into the bumper or run a front plate ruins the car completely for me.

The tow hook that are multi adjustable are not too bad. But honestly I keep the plates in the trunk for both my Alfas. Two years no issues yet but I know it’s a risk.

What was involved with fixing the holes drilled into the bumper? I have that plastic mount drilled in to the bumper... in four places! :(
have a sticker made (a repositionable one is also possible) that is a lot smaller than the original number plate, but that looks exactly the same. you therefore do not have an unsightly license plate holder and the sticker follows the shape of the bumper. not a single police officer will notice the difference while driving.
I had a tow hook adapter installed and, after a few months, the plate came loose (spins and comes to rest upside down lol). For those who think it's prudent to run a required front plate, I think the OEM bracket you removed is the best solution. As you indicate, there's no aesthetically pleasing way to run a front plate. Beside the center grill is the least awkward placement and, if you're running the front plate in that location, it hardly matters that the holes are there; you'll never see them.
I feel ya. This is probably illegal but how about cutting off or folding back the upper and lower part of the license plate, so only the actual numbers are visible? Then you're left roughly the same dimensions as the Italian front plate and you could use the European bracket instead.
I'm not sure if you bought the car new or pre-owned but I just bought a stelvio and the same thing happened to me. I told the dealership to remove it and now they are doing a head scratcher since it will have 2 visible holes. 3 days in body shop seems like a long time. So far the dealer is stalling. Just wondering what you did or do trying to convince them to fix the holes?

That is the only reason why I'd never get a new Alfa. I'm in the uk and imo even our number plates look sh💩it on Alfas.

I have considered getting a Stelvio a few times.
I decided against it, each and every time, for this exact reason.
Front license plates are dumb.
Same goes for modern Audis. My dad's A7 has been without a front plate for six years -- not one stop, not one ticket. However, he doesn't live in Taxachussetts like I do.
I have Stelvio and I’m the bottom there is a place for that like there is two hole for this black thing hold your license plate
ok i used the same factory license bracket without drilling any holes to the bumper i cut it down to same size as the plate then that big round circle that goes in the bumper i drilled a 1/4 " hole i bought a toggle bolt 3" long and a maximum grip range:1-3/4 in. Put the bolt washer and lock washer through the hole you drilled and into the hole of the bumper tighten with a screwdriver and you done. No holes on the bumper at all.PS: if don't cut the plastic bracket the same size as the plate itself it will not clear the sensor.

Going to the same issue right now I just got my plates I mounted the one in the back but the front is too much for me I do not want to damage the car honestly😡😡 i am mad..

We customers we got to deal with factory problems and propose solution for them , we got to deal with none sense of some state , a customer always a victim , in fact if someone pulled over by cops , he have to ask him to fix it , so they may recognise it not our fault

What I do for my Alfa is just tape the plate whenever I am parked and take it off when I drive
What the final solution ? None , I guess am going to graph my licence plate alphabet into the front of my car 🚘 , there is no sense factory make car that way , and some state require 2 plate !!!!!!!!!!
I refuse to ruin the Stelvio front end design with any plate, not even if I had a Euro plate! I am going to put the plate on the lowest possible position inside the car, on the passenger side front windshield. I would much rather live with that than completely ruin the Nero-Scudetto front grille design, Period!
