Yes, please! We love seeing videos of specific neighborhoods that are more residential than tourist areas. Particularly inside shops as most videos focus on eateries instead of retail. I'd also like to see rental options for those of us not yet ready to buy an apartment.
Yes! More neighborhoods please!! This video is wonderful. Seems like most videos of Nice on YouTubie keep showing us the same thing over and over again: Promenade des Anglais, Vieux Nice, the Marché Aux Fleurs and such. Finally you 2 came along and are going to show us the real Nice where the locals live and shop. Beyond the tourist areas. Thank you!!
Yours are the best videos of Nice. We've been several times since 2000 and thought we'd covered most of it.....until you both came along. Thank you for sharing these less obvious places to experience. Keep em coming for as long as you can 👍👍👍👍
Thank you for your “introductions”! Very timely indeed, as we retirees plan to move to Nice this Summer? Fall? We visit in May, so happy to discover the various neighborhoods suitable for expats.😊 We would be particularly interested to learn the cost ( even ball park?) of the apartments that you show - will you only show sales or will you demonstrate rental apartments as well? Very appreciative to all the exposure! Merci !
Enjoyed your tour very much❣️ If you would please also do some Rentals and their prices, maybe more about the lifestyle and available transportation, that would be very helpful and wonderful. Merci 🙏🏼
First- it was such a pleasure meeting you on the street in Beaulieu sur Mer in February! Definitely serendipitous and such a treat for us! Ironically, as we watched this video of Nice, you were right below our apartment in the Carabacel (we stayed just above the Librarie Massena). Crazy! Anyway, thank you so much for this video - we are moving to Nice in February and are really trying to narrow down where we want to be. We'll be in Beaulieu for a month in Sept/Oct but will also be looking in Nice - we'd love to see more neighborhoods - especially apartment inside Cimiez/Rimier as well as the Musicien and Liberation areas as well. Thank you so much for what you do - we really appreciate you! Hope to see you again - Christy and Naser
Congratulations on your decision to move! There are so many wonderful neighborhoods to choose from -- its all about finding the one that best suits your lifestyle. We've talked to at least thirty people who live in different areas and all of them love their neighborhoods the best.😀
YES! Would love to learn more about Nice's different neighborhoods to live in. I've been there twice, but have more of a tourist's impression of the city's major areas.
I love seeing the different neighbourhoods in Nice. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm curious to know how you think Carabacel compares to the Port Lympia/Mont Boron/Parc Vigier area that you stayed in and made a video about a few years back. Also curious to know if you're thinking of buying in Nice or simply visiting properties for the sake of this channel. Wishing you both the best! I very much enjoy following your adventures.
Thank you for watching and your encouragement! The Carabacel is closer to the center of Nice, so in that way it can be considered more convenient. We love the Port Lympia and Park Vigier area, for quick access to coastal walks and Villefranche + Beaulieu, however other people tell us its too far of a walk into the center of Nice or to the tram stop for them. Mont Boron has drop-dead gorgeous views and access to nature, but depending how high up you live on Mont Boron it begins to feel remote from your grocery store, bus stop, and every day living.
Great Video! Are you currently living in Nice? My wife and I are in our late 50s and live in San Diego, California. We are planning to spend part of the year (4-6 months in Europe) to be closer to our son and grandkids. We love the Cote d’ Azur and its central location to Italy and other parts of France. Could you do a video on places to rent also? Thanks! Rich & Angela
Thank you for watching! How nice that you'll be able to spend time near your family in Europe. Thank you for the tip on including rentals. We are full time travelers and Nice is one of our favorite places! All the best to you both.
Such a great guide to Nice! The Carabacel neighborhood looks like a fantastic spot to consider for anyone thinking about retiring to the French Riviera. I love how you really capture the local vibe and showcase the independent, creative side of Nice. As someone who supports expats in France, I can see how this video series will be so helpful for anyone planning their move. Looking forward to the next episode - it's like a virtual tour of the city!
Carabacel is definitely a truly authentic neighbourhood in Nice that's not the first choice of tourists which is why it's so special. It has everything you would need or want and it's not too far from the Old City or the beach. It's an excellent place to grab food, shop or stay should you be visiting Nice.
Loved seeing your video on Carabacel. We just returned from Nice three days ago. Yes....please add more neighborhoods around Nice. As someone mentioned, all the videos about Nice have the same topics. It was wonderful to see such different topics as well as apartments around that area. Your videos on eateries are great, but fun to see stores and shops etc. Keep doing the neighborhoods. Musiciens could be next?
New to your channel and loving it. You are such a charming couple! Just a few suggestion to draw in more viewers: 1. Please focus more on rentals. Most expats moving to France are retired and don't want the responsibility or big upfront expense of purchasing, but would rather rent furnished units for flexibility. And please show the rental price along with the lease length. 2. Also, please show more rural rentals for those seeking the peace and quiet of the famed french countryside. Most people seeking this type of rental want something no more than 30-45 minutes outside a big city for their shopping, dining and entertainment convenience. 3. And please show how easy it is to live there if you don't know any French. Or how welcoming an area is to the LGBT+ community. And what the crime statistics and general safety is per area. Thanks so much and I look forward to viewing more of your lovely work! Liked & Subscribed too! 😉
