One of the most influential voices in comedy, Jerrod Carmichael is set to host the 80th Annual Golden Globe® Awards.
The three-hour telecast serves as the official kickoff to the 2023 awards season and will air live coast-to-coast on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on NBC and Peacock.
The Golden Globe Awards is one of the biggest nights on the calendar for live viewing. It's also one of the few awards shows that combines the honorees of both film and television.
Produced by Dick Clark Productions and Jesse Collins Entertainment in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 210 territories worldwide. Helen Hoehne is president of the HFPA. Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon will serve as executive producers.

Did he say so? In the last Shameless interviews with the cast he was the only one not wanting to come back to the show if there'd be a Shameless movie or mini series in a few years. I'm pretty sure he wasn't that desperate.

I’m so so happy he won this!! He’s an insanely incredible actor and has so much talent. Shameless is one of my favorite shows and Lip’s my favorite character because of how well Jeremy plays him. I’m so glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves!!

you could tell by his emotions how happy he is, the crack in his voice holding back tears. reminded me of Lip from shameless, jeremy allen white is indeed a great actor

@@anthonycampos8057because people are weirdly obsessed with “attractive or normal” looking serial killers like him and Bundy. The victims families were disgusted by the show and weren’t made aware of it and it’s not just a show this was real for the many many victims. I couldn’t watch that show.

I think he is one who is here to stay. Or should be! He is able to really become the character he is portraying, regardless of the type of role, and make it his very own. I hope he continues to get the roles that someone with a true gift like this deserves. I also hope he can remain humble and appreciate the moments like we see in this clip
I’m here after watching the first episode of The Bear and being blown away. Prior to I had never heard of him or seen him in anything else. He deserved this award with that first episode alone. Can’t wait to see more of his work!

As someone who has worked in multiple kitchens ranging in environment, this show dragged me back into it~ I was freaking out watching this because you can tell they made sure to make it as real as possible. Everything from the push pull relationships you have with coworkers, to drinking your water out of a deli container. It felt so real, I love this show so much🙏
The Bear is a comedy? Gonna have to go back and check to see which show I was watching. Be that as it may, mad respect to Jeremy Allen White. Excellent performance/show.

The golden globes goes by the old fashioned definition of comedy. Which on top of what we think of comedy today includes personal invective and commentary on philosophical topics. The Bear fits both of those parts of the old definition pretty well.

I have to be talked into starting a TV series, don’t have the time or patience so it’s usually just sports games or TH-cam comedy clips; the last series I watched was “The Queen’s Gambit.” Never seen/heard of this actor. But binge-watched “The Bear” and was blown away. Through Carmy’s AA speech I was literally on the edge of my seat, mesmerized. Such fine acting from the entire cast; great visuals/camera work, great writing. Couple million F-bombs on the show; I think he almost dropped one in the speech 😆
He's great in Shameless, and should have won awards for that.
