I love this city, but there's much more to Newfoundland than just St. John's: th-cam.com/play/PLO2VEdL8sa-CgSjbtVEl8wNHoY3dUokZ4.html

Your weather pattern sounds just like ours in Rochester, NY.

Thanks, Mark. I moved to St. Johns in July and because I was so busy I could not use summer time here. Now I am waiting for spring and summer to visit some beautiful areas and wonderful scenes like icebergs and whales in the ocean.

I strongly recommend visiting Twillingate if you want to see both whales and ice bergs. Usually spring is best for ice bergs and summertime for whales, but I saw a bunch of both on the same trip this past July. Such a cool experience! Plus the town itself is really nice.
I hope you're settling in well! Welcome to Newfoundland!

Bay Roberts area got its first real amount of Snow December 29th, we go Snow before, but it didn't last long.

Yeah it was weird to wake up to some snow. I think the 2nd time now actually this year, either way both times didn't last very long. Now we have a warning again for tonight and freezing rain, so tomorrow will be a state

Great Shots! Love the quality of your videos. Peace-A-Chord hasn't happened in 20 years. I'd definitely be up for a collar on a video on that as I coordinated it in 98' and know a lot about it's history.

Haha yea I was just trying to be funny but I did love Peace-A-Chord. Haven't been there since the year before your year, and if I'm remembering correctly my good friend Caitlin coordinated it maybe the year before that.

Manitoba almost always gets hit with a late snow storm…..worst that I remember was April 1997 .
    Love your videos though

Thank you ☺ I hate to take pleasure in knowing that other places in Canada deal with late winter storms too but I have to admit that it is comforting to know that we're not alone 😆

@@mark_royle_newfoundland winter this year in Manitoba has been nonexistent. Hardly a dusting of snow in most places but guaranteed the heavy stuff is coming ❄️😳

I can't say for certain about other parts of the province but basketball is definitely very popular around the Avalon peninsula (where St. John's is).

Thank you for putting the effort into at least pronouncing Newfoundland correctly, most people can't even do that. Wonderful job highlighting the island. Don't think there's another place in Canada that its people are so attached to.

Newfoundland is only good for about 2 weeks . Sometimes more. Kidding .. but kinda not

By if you're relying on the weather to have fun you're probably in the wrong place lol
