    I'm also Autistic with low support needs, and I can relate to a lot of the things he's saying. Being Autistic is lonely, it's so lonely, even when you have other Autistic and neurodivergent friends. Drugs do help. The only time I get to feel normal is when I'm tipsy or high. That's the only time I can feel like neurotypical people and it feels good. I recognize that I'm on a slippery slope and I really have to be careful, especially because addiction runs on both sides of my family, but I have a good support system around me which is something that lots of people, this man included, don't have. I really hope he can find some real friends and get that camper up in the mountains. I'm rooting for you man

      I think there are a number of us who self-medicate, unfortunately. I have intentionally refrained from even experimenting with drugs or alcohol because I know I have an addictive personality.

      I no longer desire to be like allistics and/or NTs. I just seek to be myself without deifying the concept of being “normal.”

    Appreciate his honesty and straightforwardness. Would love to see him take his own advice and have some hope and faith in himself. He seems a very strong guy.

    Seems like a really good solid guy that got fucked over by life. Yeah my car got totalled and that also happened to me just a few months into crack addiction. Also estranged and alienated from my eldest child. I'm amazed at the similarities between us addicts. Guy is not meant for the streets he's meant for a better purpose hope he finds what inspires and drives him like he said, God bless him I feel his pain fr

    PTSD has to be insane. I just watched LOTR w my wife recently. All the movies within like a week or so. You go through this adventure with Frodo and all the things he endured (stabbed, poisoned, hunger, battle, mental fatigue etc). Then after it’s all said and done he comes back to the quiet peacefulness of shire. You have to think how do you even live after going through all that? How do you go to a normal life after that, life must be a big pile of nothing after that

    Sounds like his brother did a wonderful thing. Neither her bio mom or dad were apparently able to raise her, so the brother is doing it.

    I'm gonna go ahead and say the hardest part about being homeless is the lack of a home...I know, I know, I'm a jackass...smartass..its just a joke. The real answer is how hard it is to get a job.., and then keeping the job..,I paused the video to comment..so itll be interesting to see what his answer is.

    Sounds like he burned a lot of bridges before he became homeless. There’s a lot more of his story he’s not saying. It’s everyone else’s fault. Get a job. You’re a bum. 🤨 Military discharged him…what’s up with that? More to the story.
    Wonder why his biggest dream isn’t getting his daughter back?
    You do a good interview, Unheard Voices 👏👏👏

    • @KristinaTheLatina_1
      @KristinaTheLatina_1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Let's not call him a bum. I agree there's probably more to his story but let's not call names. It's counterproductive.

    • @janwarriner6554
      @janwarriner6554 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@KristinaTheLatina_1 a man that has not worked for years in spite of being healthy imho is a non productive bum. Add to that living in his truck for 2 years when a job could’ve given him shelter. Now he has no vehicle, lives on the streets and has no job even now but looks clean and presentable to get a job. Yes, that’s a bum. Furthermore does not provide child support to his own brother who is raising his daughter!

      @@janwarriner6554 So in your mind you think because he looks healthy that nothing Is wrong with him? He clearly is suffering from PTSD from going to war in getting shot at and just like many others that suffer trying to live a normal life after total chaos every day. In some sense he's re-creating chaos because he is familiar with it. Doing drugs enhances that feeling. Believe me he judges himself far more harshly than you ever could so your point is moot. Just for him to get on camera and tell his story takes more courage than your Quick judgment hiding behind your keyboard.
